This place was a red flag from the start. When I moved here from El Paso I had a U-Box storage box sent up. For some reason it got stuck in Houghton lake for almost an extra week and a half. Upon the delivery of the U-Haul box I decided to get a $55 a month storage unit. Year and a half later rents been paid on time every time even months in advance. They do a spontaneous $30 price increase on me. They send the notice to an address that's not on file for me anymore per my U-Haul account. I continue to pay my ittle 55 bucks. The same day I lost my job. I get a call from to let me know that I was late on my payment, apparently there was a $30 price increase now. I explain my situation and the very nice lady understood, she vouched for me and said that he's never been late on his payment. She asked whoever was in charge to waive the late fees. They approved the waiver and we scheduled payment arrangements for a later date (approximately 6 days later when I would be able to pay when I receive my check.) 4 days after the initial phone call I'm at my uncle's funeral, it's the boss lady some miserable human calling to nag at me about a payment that's not even technically due late now per our payment arrangements previously made. I let her know where I'm at and politely hang up the phone. I get a call back about 20 minutes later. To get in a bickering debate with this miserable human who works at the front desk. I think her name is laura. Whoever she is she's the boss. To let me know that I'm 3 days late on my rent I step outside of the service. I let her know that I had previously spoken to another employee who was waving the late fees and who I had made payment arrangements with. Decides to get into an arguing match with me on the phone. Where she literally imitated me and mocked me back to let me know whoever approved that is no longer employed there (I wonder why) and that she'll be charging the late fees and it's not their fault that they sent the notice to the wrong address, we go back and forth until I guess some customers walk into the office and she's so embarrassed she has to end the call. Probably 20 minutes later I get another call from this lady. We can do another debate finally she waves the late fees. And I pay it two days later. As previously agreed upon. Jump forward to my last and final month. I had initially planned on moving out of the unit. However life happens I've been busy applying for jobs I've been busy trying to consolidate my uncle's belongings with my family and also just taking time for myself to mourn. She calls me the day it's due. To let me know that if it's not paid by 7:00 or whenever the heck she was out she was putting the overlock on it. I let her know I'd take care of it I would pay online she argues with me and tells me I can't pay it online. I've been paying the storage unit fee since the beginning of time through the U-Haul app. But she literally picks another argument with me. I hang up the phone make the payment. I just packed up my belongings and I cannot be more happy to be free of this place. Avoid at all costs. Literally how are they going to increase the rent by $30 a month but the luggage cart to get my stuff to and from the unit. Only has three wheels why am I paying more for less amenities. Laura obviously is chased most of the business out of here considering my once full storage unit building. Now sits primarily vacant. If you got money to spend and you like to argue with people who are so bored they feel the need to harass you. This is the place for you. I would carry everything on my back before I rent another U-Haul from here. I would throw all my belongings away before I pay for another inch of storage space from this property. Do with this information what you will. But don't say I didn't warn you.

Windshield was covered in bug juice. Driver compartment full of sand, dirt and food crumbs. Back storage not swept out. Staff surly and unfriendly. No contract emailed to me. Had to call and 'beg' Laura to send to me. Online check-in was ridiculous. All information should have been completed 'upfront'. Not in the field where unable to see phone in glaring sun. Overall bad experience.Uhaul needs a new CEO!

I went 3 1/2 miles to my house and the left rear tire had very little air in it aired it up to the correct amount on the side of the tire and heard air leaking looked and there was a nail in the tire and I hadn’t went on my property or anything. I told it from Water’s to my property approximately 3 1/2 miles. Called the back they said there’s nothing we can do you have to call the number on there and get somebody to come and repair it so I sit with my trailer from 930 or 9:45 till noon till a guy finally showed up to change my tire. How do you think I feel about U-Haul not good I should get all my money refunded. this is BS and I’ve used U-Haul a bunch and never had a problem but the gentleman at that location kept telling me I can’t change a tire for you. I can’t swap it out. Nothing if that’s you guys way to do business I don’t want any part of it.

I have rented from the Waters location a half dozen times if not more and would rather support local businesses. I live 2.5 miles away and pass the location every time I access I-75. On the evening of July 22nd, 2026 I rented and secured online from the Waters Uhaul, an inclosed 6 x 9 trailer for 48 hour of use to be picked up at 1600 hours on July 23rd. At 0900 on the 23rd a very polite and apologetic Uhaul customer service representative called and told me that my rental was being denied by Waters Uhaul because of a potential rental conflict with an existing July 27th morning pickup of this trailer. After our initial conversation, she called Waters and they confirmed to her the locations stance. During her return call to me, I discussed my rental reason, where I was going and my estimated return times. My return times were either Friday the 24th evening or first thing in the morning on the 25th. She tried calling the location again but didn't get an answer. Initially I canceled but she offered to look for another trailer, and to keep the costs as initially accepted. I suggested two locations but they didn't have anything available. Thankfully, she picked up on the location I needed the rental for and found a Uhaul with an available trailer a little more than 6 miles away from that location. The rental cost $107, lost of 90 minutes, and extra fuel use, all completely unexpected. Thankfully, a trailer was found and plans could continue. Why I am writing this? As I mentioned I live close and drive by the Waters Uhaul often. Friday morning at 0630 as I drove by the Waters Uhaul, I couldn't help but notice not one but two 6 x 9 enclosed trailers sitting on the lot. I arrived by 0815 in Belding Michigan, picked up the rental, made the move, cleaned the trailer, and returned the trailer to the Waters location a few minutes past 1700 hours. Ironically, both 6 x 9 trailers were still sitting at this Uhauls location, in the exact same position. I am confused and disappointed.

I dropped the trailer in iron river like I was told cleaned and folded the blankets and you charge me 38 plus dollar's extra, freaking rediculous, I will never use U-Haul ever again, terrible company

I dropped the truck off after hrs so cannot comment on the staff as I had no interactions with them. But the facility was clean- well organized and easy to find. Parking was a bit limited for a big truck. Overall a good experience w Uhaul - I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Real good equipment- service and instructions. Good job Uhaul team!!!

We rented and stored at this location during our move three years ago. They were always helpful and accommodating. Rented for landscape or marketplace purchases during our two-year stay. Rented and hauled 6 trailers downstate last fall for yet another move. Just rented for the last time to haul our last few items out of the house that finally sold! Thank you Water's U-Haul, it's been a pleasure doing business:)

This was a very nice location as opposed to the pick up point. The only improvement would have been to help me unhook the auto transport trailer. I didn’t have any issues unhooking it, I just think it would have been nice if they offered to help.

I stored my Fifth Wheel there for many years. Access with passcode allowed me pickup or drop off after hours to my assigned space! Most importantly are the people who work there as they are extremely helpful! Each and every time one or all met my needs. Anthony rebuilt my trailer after a minor accident and also installed antenna. Many times they prepped my trailer before my arrival. I would highly recommend waters rv storage!

It was a relief to be able to comfortably sort and distribute what was no longer needed from my two rented units in order to downsize to one unit. I am usually there to pick up on Saturday and drop off Monday or Tuesday night, it works out OK, understandable someone can't be there at those hours. I will definitely be back next year, the cost is about even with what I save in gas towing and no wear and tear on trailer. I have recommended to others.
