Very nice folks running this location. If you need a rental this is a go to location.
dennis T.The truck was in terrible shape. The outside was damaged, and the cargo area was very dirty. It looked like someone used it to haul shingles. On top of that, the guy behind the counter did not even seem to know that the truck was in the condition it was in. When I told him, he acted surprised, and yet did not seem to care.

We had to wait for a cab and they let us wait inside even though they were closing because it was cold out until the cab showed up. When we need another uhaul rental we are coming back to them. You will never find a nicer group of people no matter how hard you try.

Michael L.I have never experienced the kind of incompetent customer service at a business before like I did at this location. We booked (received confirmation of reservation) 4 cubes, with trailers, and a pick up truck for hauling the trailers to move out of our home. We received a call less than 12 hours before our reservation stating that they did not have a pick up truck for us to use, but had a moving truck that they would substitute in order to satisfy what we needed. Less than an hour later, we received a call stating that they did not have a truck and also did not have the trailers to move the cubes to our house for loading. This was less than TWELVE HOURS before we had our reservation. We spoke with Haley at the Waters, MI location and she tried to assist in helping figure out an alternate solution. At first she was helpful, but then we were handed off to Robert at the Houghton Lake, MI location to see if they had the equipment that we needed there. This was an extra 50 minutes away from the location that we originally booked our reservation at. Robert was not much help, my husband and I had to basically ask him questions in order to find solutions and he did not seem like he had any urgency to help us out. Finally we came to a solution. We would rent a truck from Waters, MI, load out stuff in it, then travel an extra 50 miles to Houghton Lake to load into the 4 cubes. This was not ideal for us because we now had to load our belongings twice, but we were given no other choice. The next morning we go to the Waters location to pick up the truck to start loading. Haley was there with another man and she asked if it was figured out. After stating that we found a solution but it was obviously incredibly inconvenient for us, she resorted back to her office with the man. I overheard their conversation, and the man was saying he had a potential solution but I could hear Haley saying "you are just going to make more work for me". He then left the office and approached us and asked if it would be better for us to load the cubes at the Waters location if they pulled out the cubes for us to load over the weekend once we packed up the U-haul truck. Although we were still greatly inconvenienced, this did help make the situation a bit more tolerable for us. I wish I had got his name but he was the only person who went out of their way to resolve this issue that was caused by this U-Haul location. Because of this mess up, we both had to take work off last minute and had to do 2x the manual work as this should have. I was told the manager of the Waters, MI location would reach out to us the Friday of our booking to discuss a potential discount/refund for our troubles, but we did not receive this phone call. I am greatly disappointed with my experience at this location, and would hope that this would be addressed so no other customer has to experience a stressful experience like this.

Greg B.Dropped off on weekend place was closed. Tried using self drop off software, I'm not very smart phone experience, old school only use cell to make calls. Was able to connect to check out site but would not work for me. The area has poor cell service, tried several times to get things to work. Finally called your costumer service for help, explained my situation. Operator transferred me to another department, a recording told me all agent were handling other calls my wait time was 20 minutes. I waited, and waited 20 minutes, and then when it was my turn, I got another machine telling me that no one was available to take my call and leave a message. What a frustrating system. So after more then a hour trying to drop off this truck, I call again, this time, the person I spoke knew exactly what to do, and took care of my situation, he update my file, explaining how to drop off, told me to put the key in the return box. He also sent me an email confirming the issues. Worst customer service, except for the last person I spoke with. Other then all this the rental truck was good, the price was better then anyone else. Need to improvements pick up & drop off, it's the worst.

Delivery was a day late and I wasn't told it wouldn't get here until we were within the delivery window time. Pick up was TWO DAYS late and no one even called to tell me they changed the pick up date. I had to call Uhaul and ask what was going on! I had to beg my HOA not to fine me. EMBARRASSING! Best part of this whole thing was the movers that packed my stuff into the uhaul trailers. And they aren't uhaul employees... 10/10 wouldn't recommend. Really expected more from a company that's been around and trusted for so long.

I did not know about it till I returned the hauler and asked for explanation on the receipt. They stated they could not do anything to help me and the other place will not respond.

I was told it would be delivered the next day but then another person called me and say that's never going to happen because they were too busy. Then that same person called me back and said they weren't open the weekends, which was obv not true. Would've been nice to not be lied to multiple times by the staff here which resulted in my box being held up for 2 weeks there before they could deliver it, which I'm sure they are going to charge me for as well now. Was a good device just didn't appreciate the lies about the scheduling and the confusion between the staff about the scheduling.

Robert P.Because I needed the trailer a few hours prior to when they opened on Monday, and because they were not open Saturday or sunday I was told to pick it up late on Friday for return monday afternoon and I would be charged for one day. I was charged for two days. It isn't a big deal, except it was not what I expected. Otherwise everything was fine. Great people at the dealership.
Dave W.There is no u-haul in Gaylord Michigan. We were told to drop off in Gaylord. After some phone calls and looking all over Gaylord for u-haul we ended up in a town called Waters which was 12 miles south of Gaylord. Once we found a place to drop off your app was very easy and helpful.

The representitave was wonderful but am afraid I may be overcharged as the ending milage was never actually recorded by anyone.

ROB I.Everything involved with U-Haul was top notch! I even found out there was brand new tires just put on the trailer. After travel to the dealership and loading the motorcycle we stayed overnight and left the next day. Once on the road I began to notice a slight vibration. Stopping at a Belle Tire store we found ALL lug nuts needing significant tightening. Had them "torqued" to trailer specs. Problem solved! Trailer tracked straight as an arrow, no vibration!

Karen B.Internet was not working and worker was a employee was a bit frustrated. The equipment was dirty, snowy, icy, dirty with very low tread life. One of the wheel straps was heavily frayed and could not fit through the ratchet and I therefore had to spend $90 to purchase new straps to secure my vehicle. I would like to be reimbursed for these straps and can give them back to U-Haul

todd C.I am usually there to pick up on Saturday and drop off Monday or Tuesday night, it works out OK, understandable someone can't be there at those hours. I will definitely be back next year, the cost is about even with what I save in gas towing and no wear and tear on trailer. I have recommended to others.

I took the boat out of storage 16 days prior to end of lease for the month of May but the storage facility would not prorate my last month. Also the storage facility is not open on the weekend which requires me to take a day off work to pick up my boat.
