I wouldn’t recommend U-Haul after this experience. This was the first time we used it and the last time. Our reservation was moved three times and ended up costing us more money because the location we had chose and set up was not set up for us to pick up there. The woman on the phone was rude and wanted to argue about pickup locations. She was adamant that the locations she was originally trying to move us to was only 5 miles more and that mapping told her so…so google knows everything. Had I listened to her we would have spent even more money. Our $75 reservation ended up costing over $120 because she was adamant that nothing could be done about the truck we requested being unavailable. The arrangements ended up costing us time to use the truck due to being farther away and money. The location however was easy to use and the gentleman who helped us was very friendly that ran the pick up location, that was appreciated after dealing with the headache of the U-Haul employee. Rented well enough in advance that the reservation WE chose should have been met, but instead we paid for it and lost rental time.

U-Haul as a company needs to do more to monitor these drop off locations. I dropped the truck off a full day early and still they overcharged me by hundreds of dollars. Nice way to treat a 38 year veteran of the armed forces who moved his mom’s antique furniture to Florida. Typical Florida experience.

HENRY GThe only problem i had is at the Bushnell location. I was asked to relocate a 5x8 trailer to Atlanta for a $75.00 discount through U-haul which i agreed to, when i picked up the equipment the agent asked about $30.00 insurance for the trailer. I didn't think i should have to pay insurance on a trailer i wasn't even using. I said I'm moving the trailer for U-haul and not even using it. He said so you don't want insurance. to cover myself i purchased insurance. After i dropped off the equipment i saw the email stating i did not need insurance when U-haul ask the customer to move equipment. I feel the agent at the Bushnell office should be aware of the policy and that the agent on the phone that asked to move the equipment should inform the customer they will not need to purchase insurance. I have sent 2 emails to U-haul with no response and tried to call and get pushed to website.
