We dropped the truck a day early, but location was closed. We drove home that day and on Monday received a call from Uhal which they ask when we were bring the truck back. I said I'm in Rocky Mount NC showing homes, told by clients to say hello. They did, they gentlemen on the phone ask me where I drop the phone, I told him the address and the time we dropped it. He said it happens all the time no worries. I ask him to call me back he said no need I'll take care of it. So, I went on my way. then on Tuesday received another call. Wendy said when are you bringing back the truck!! Now I'm very upset, she said she would call me on Thursday which is and still no call but I did receive a email saying the truck was checked in today. So, the service is lacking and follow up needs work. So, I'm not really thinking about using you again if I have to worry about the truck and people doing their job. Hope this helps
BASSAM SIn addition to the rental truck, we had also reserved a hand truck and a dozen blankets. While the truck was ready for us, there was no hand truck nor blankets in the truck, and the building was closed at 2:00 PM so no one was available to assist us. We have used U-Haul rentals several times and never had any challenges so we would look to reserve from a different location if ever in need of a U-Haul in the Charleston area again.
Carrie CDON'T RENT FROM HERE. I ordered my truck online only to have the truck not filled and the lock still on the back with no combo. Luckily, I caught the lock before I departed. The equipment I ordered wasn't on the truck, and I ordered the truck at least a week in advance. The staff wasn't that great and had me switching between personal cellphones talking to the actual boss that wasn't even in the office.

Neicar GThe owner ran out as I was completing my 24/7 ride share yelling at me that he has no room although my drop off was set to the location. Lot was very tight and unapproachable.
Chance RDropped off 15' van before West Ashley Motors had opened for the day. Parking lot was crowded by was able to fit 15' van. Recommend alerting drop-off customers as to location of drop box.
James HWe were not told a lock box at pick up . We did not receive directions had to call was on phone with 3 different people . Went to pick up truck 22 miles away when there was a place within 5 with trucks people and close . Went 22 miles to get truck 22 miles to park k truck and then went to our destination. . Then got charged for over mileage . Picking it up was not. Good experience . Dropping off was great !!! We didn’t get truck out of lot till 4:46 and we dropped it off early at the other spot . Mileage and lock box and it didn’t work with 3 codes . Just was a hassle and if i didn’t have a smart phone and be able to handle all the online directions we would of never picked up truck ! Sad that this is the way it was. Other location was open with people and was OPEN !!!!

Donna FMy appointment was 10:00 AM. The agent called after 10:30 to let me know that she would be an additional 10 minutes late. The truck had big boxes left in it that I had to dispose of and the parking lot is too cramped to get in and out of. The only good thing is that it was convenient to my location.
Elonda OBooking online is easy, but the customer service at the location is not something that I can give a good a report on because no one was their on the day that I went to go and pickup the truck. It was within business hours but no one answered the phone nor returned my call. I was lost for a good minute, then I called the online customer service and they were able to guide me through the pick up process. It's a nice person less system, but it would be nice if they are in the office between the office hours or available to answer or return calls for people that needs the help.
Damaine CMy truck was scheduled to be picked up at 10m but noone was there. I tried calling other locations and the phone just rang. I then had to call the 800 number to get someone out there so I could get my truck. I did not get my truck until almost 11:30. I then had to call the movers to change my schedule with them. When I finally got in the truck it was pretty dirty. It was a stressful day in the first place and the chaos trying to get my truck made it even worse
Kathy SThe U-Haul was clean the only problem was it felt like it was stalling. I think the U-Haul just needs a tune-up. All in all I was very pleased

Michael SThis location did not have any equipment as advertised!! I requested a dolly to come with my U-haul truck but the location didn’t have any. The clerk told me that I should call around to find one. That is a huge inconvenience for customers who are already so busy with other things.

Philip MI had many issues with this uhaul location, tire pressure light was on and they told me don't worry about it, the truck wouldn't take gas so I was told I wouldn't be charged for it and when I got my bill I had a gas fee the customer service was sub par and I would not recommend this location

tami tI have rented UHaul many times in the past and I don't ever remember having to pay for cleaning, a $75 fee and $6.75 rental tax?. I could not check the truck in because of after hours and location service issue. I can understand the $20 check in fee because that is stated. I do have pictures of the truck inside and out. I guess this location deside's its own fee's.
TIMOTHY HAfter being notified of original place was full I was given a place not in my town so called U-Haul and given this place and when arriving the gentleman said he was full as well but shifted things around just to allow me to drop off. Stand up guy!
steven GMy first impression I was like pulling into a junkyard. The young lady that was the greeter at the front desk was very friendly and efficient ; however, the truck windshield was in need of a thorough cleaning, inside & out. I am not sure if 62,000 miles is considered to much for a UHaul truck but this trucks suspension was horrible .
JOHN DNot a criticism of the drop off location, it was closed at the time, but a criticism of the process. When I picked up the truck we picked the option to select our specific drop off location later. Without my input, U-Haul selected a drop off location that was not convenient to me. The online app did not allow me to change it. I’m disappointed with trying to contact U-Haul phone customer service. I spent 20+ minutes on hold, then waited over an hour for a callback. When the rep finally called me back we got disconnected and I was sent back to the end of the line. Do not direct me to use the app if the app can’t do what I want or at least answer my question.
vincent mThe charges were in error and it took me several hours to get it corrected. They would not correct the overcharge for gas at the location. I drove 12 miles, had it in 2 gallons of gas and they charged me an extra $30 service fee and also put I. 2 gallons.

Timothy Mfill tank up completely at start. my tank listed at 3/4 but actually wasnt. returned veh with same level of gas as when i started but wifes credit card was charged an additinal 23+$ for gas
clinton sThey gave me a really hard time. Told me I would be charged for 2 days because they truck was late. Then they told me I didn’t put enough gas in the truck I put the gas back where it was when I got it. Now I’m getting a bill for another $113. How could that be for 5 hours. I rent Uhaul all the time and this was the worst experience.
JEROME GThe truck had multiple issues, including a driver's door that was dang near impossible to open and close (even came open while driving) and it was very difficult to get the key into the ignition. Additionally, I was charged $44 for gas when I put a total of 8 miles on the truck.

J VThis facility is a used car lot. It only had one trailer in the back and is difficult to get to and not well marked that it is a Uhaul facility. The owner told me he didnt know much about the Uhaul stuff since his wife did most of it and she was out. He told me to use the app. When I asked about the app he said he didn't know much about it either. Yesterday I received an additional 109$ charge with know real explanation why in the missing / damage section. I paid for insurance and I did not rent any equipment. so I do not knw why I was charged. I filled the tank more than I had received as well.
MAURITS CWouldn’t recommend this place the so called owner is very unprofessional of arguing with customers. Pick and choose to be nice too certain people. She needs a course in management and she over charged me. This makes uhaul look bad. Also phone services sucks no one answers either phone especially the phone number on the business card.

It was a very good experience and I will always use uhaul, always have because the customer service is always up to my standards. Definitely a future choice and I will definitely refer anyone who needs a moving company

Zackery BI paid for a small square dolly and was not provided one. I reserved a 15 foot truck at king street location and ended up going down the road and getting a 26 foot truck. I am very grateful I got a truck but it was WAY too big and hard for me to drive. The pick up was by my phone and the location and pick up were great. Except no dolly.
