The uHaul app is the worst app I have ever used. You guys charged me $30 for gas, when I dropped the truck off it had the same amount it had when I picked it up.Erik R.
We tried to pick up a van or truck Sunday. No one was around to help us. We went to two different locations no one was at either location to help. I wanted to book with someone at the location on Monday. She told me she couldn't book it for me. It's annoying how no one could help me. The truck was fine. It had no lock on the back of the truck. So many things were wrong. But it's Covid and so many people are moving I will say average not horrible.Walter M.

As so much is now online- remind the customer that they input any damage into the text message. It is wonderful that there is after hours drop off, even though I did not need it. Realizing I am responsible for reading the details, it would still be nice if when the customer asks about it that they are told it is possible but there is a charge. I discussed this on the phone with a gentleman before getting the van.VICKIE T.

It did the job. The pick up and return process was easy. The only thing is the cleanliness of the truck. Especially with the pandemic going on, I was expecting a clean truck but when I got it the inside was really dirty and the cover sheets are all over the place. Then I have to clean when I returned it so I won't get an extra charge. Seems unfair since I got it dirty. The experience could've been better if it was clean. Make sure to clean your trucks before renting out.Ivan F.
Hire staff that cares. When I dropped off the uhaul, no one was there. There was a sign on the entrance saying " will be back at 12:05. However, the employee did not arrive until 1:00. My husband and I called uhaul customer service line because we were concerned that we would get charged an additional day. The employee that lent us the U-Haul stated that we had to return the U-Haul at the exact time that we picked it up. We learned that we were misinformed when customer service told us that we had until 10:00 p.m. to drop off the U-Haul. Going back to the day we dropped it off, once the employee finally arrived, she was very irate with my husband. Her approach to us as customers was very unprofessional. I do not think that company would want to be represented in the aspect she portrayed. She stated to my husband that she did not have to do anything. She spoke to my husband in a loud, abrasive manner. We stated at the time she arrived she was well passed the time as stated on the employee manually inputted sign on the entrance. She stated with inappropriate mannerism that she did not have to do anything and that she was at the bank. Uhaul is a big company and I don't feel that a woman like that should be representing a franchise where customers spend good money. This woman was more concerned about taking care of her needs on company time.Elizabeth B.

I first booked the uhaul 10" at the 307 87th st daly city. but the reservation was screwed up. i wasted 30 mins figuring it out and ended up at the 1001 e market st location to pick up a uhaul from there. Total 1 hour wasted just to start the move. The helper at 1001 e market was helpful and was able to rent one for me the same price. And gave me 6 hours rather then my 3 hours appointment.KELVIN C.

The customer service was excellent. Jasmine was fast, knowledgeable and very helpful. However, the truck had some purple liquid spilled in the back left area. We mistakenly assumed it was dry and started sliding a couch over it and the purple junk got all over that item. Also, we drove off with the truck and halfway up the hill the flashing â€œtire warningâ€ light stayed on and the digital message read something about â€œtire service.â€ Wed just had a flat tire on our Yaris so when we got home with the truck we called Jasmine and she said it was alright â€” the tire was fine and they just needed the mechanic to fix the light. That was unnecessary stress as we had planned to drive over 200 miles the next day & ended up driving 180 which cost us $421.00. We think for that amount of $$ it would've been nice to have a clean, serviced truck. That said, we would recommend this Uhaul sight to our friends and again, Jasmine's professional demeanor made you look good.PATRICIA A.

The on-line "virtual check-in" process DID NOT WORK. The app said that the truck would not be ready until 9 even though it parked out front and my reservation was for 8am. I was on the phone with customer service for nearly 40 minutes and then once I finally got through to someone they got me to the online check in which FAILED. This experience was BEYOND Unacceptable...if not for someone who worked at West Coast Storage I wouldn't have been able to get the truck.. She was very nice and helpful but UHAUL's app and service is HORRIBLE. I would NEVER use Uhaul again!!!BRIAN P.
this is the second time we had a bait and switch experience. We booked a one way truck for 8am. We never got an email with any notification of a change. We get a message before pickup that the confirmation was for 10am? Hmmm? We have workers scheduled at 8am we have to pay for those hours. THEN, we arrived and were told the truck was not one way and we'd have to drive it back 65 miles to the original location, which at .99 a mile made our $145 rental equal $350, which was ridiculous. We could have hired movers to do the whole thing for us, no hassle, no long drives, no misery in the heat... I'm going to reach out to my credit card company to declare fraud. You can't trick people into a cheap rental, and then leave them stuck. I should have never used them. We had a similar experience a month before but I thought it was a fluke. Clearly NOT a fluke. And during the pandemic, try calling Uhaul...you will be on hold likely for 60 minutes to 2 hours before you get a human. Unbelievable. NEVER AGAINVincenzo S.

First when I called to reserve they had issues with trucks and said they would call me back in five minutes and never did. I waited for approx. 30 mins with no return call. When I got there the girl in front never once addressed me who actually rented the truck. My son was with me as an additional driver, so when she asked the questions, I answered them but she continued to direct the questions to him. Not once did she address me, even when I placed the credit card up for payment. She was very rude and unprofessional. This was the second time renting at this facility and I don't think I will be coming back.SHIRLEY G.
The gentleman who rented us the Uhaul, at West Coast storage, was great! I forget his name, but look him up, that guy deserves a raise. He had us laughing, and even considering a storage unit! But seriously, he got us in and out, seamlessly, and happy. Thats a rare thing these days. Thank you for the great experience, I will definitely recommend this place to others, 100% .Robert B.

Upon checking in at the store, the staff was very helpful and made it simple to use the truck as well as get a storage unit right after. So, I was over charged $9.40 and Uhaul has not replied to my email message. Originally in the contract I was given 100 miles but the computer system has it under 67 miles. I was overcharged. Please get back to me. Thanks.david S.
Equipment was great. Very clean and everything worked well. App was HORRIBLE. Unable to log in for on-site pickup. Had to work with agent at desk to log in. Agent did not seem super familiar with the process and had to be prompted for several steps.Benjamin K.

I was having trouble with the 24/7 pick-up but the employee on duty was excellent. She was so nice and helped with verification so I could be on my way.
