We’ve been renting a van for 3 years now, and we encounter problem each time. The website should be user friendly. It took an hour and 10 minutes with 2 phones to the customer service before we finally drove out the facility. Whether an online check in or with the person, there’s always some problem. It is never a smooth process…

Rodolfo DI was charged extra for fuel even though I refueled the tank. I highly recommend taking a photo of the dash and odometer before you return the vehicle otherwise they can just say you didn't refuel and there is nothing you can do about it.

Reggie BTruck was running fine until the engine light turned on and I had to stopped few times to make sure it’s still drivable. I did a live chat w/Roadside and she’s very helpful. Truck was fine. Self check in and self return is with the app is not user friendly due to low signal in the area but I went inside the office, Carmen, the representative was very helpful! Overall is an A++++ I will come back and rent on this location again.

Jorge RRented a local van for move, location not staffed that day and changed to online rental night before, asked and paid for dolly to make my move go quicker. Dolly not in van when I show up and then was invoiced a 75 lost equipment fee. Be wary and review the final invoice from them so they don't try to pull one over on you.

Louie Lmy reservation was 3:30 pm I waited for the truck for more than an hour, when it finally arrived the floor was dirty, my mattresses were stained… terrible!!!

Isabelo MLimited vehicular and not flexible on return time. Late return vehicle policy was vague and not flexible. I picked up the vehicle 30 min late and asked ahead of time if I can return it 30 min late. The staff declined and called my driver with really bad attitude to return the van. Of course, I returned the car 30 min late and i was charged double + unreasonable mileage refills (had pictures showing them saying they have more gas millage while it doesn’t match the vehicle gas millage) As a first time user, I will not return as a customer to this location. Heard many stories online about uhaul’s flexibility but the customer service at this location is the worst! Extremely judgemental and rude staff - Kelly

James DWhen I arrived the facility was closed. When the dolly I ordered wasn’t In it there wasn’t anyone to talk to. I noted it on in in-processing online form. Checked out as instructed after returning with van. The mobile site said I’m good and a uhaul rep would call me shortly. No one did. Next day checked on line and it said the truck was still checked out. Waited to talk to someone for 10 minutes. They said that’s normal. When the site opens they will close it out. No mentioned again I was overcharged and she said she saw my note; the site will see it too and adjust. Got the bill. It’s on there. Contacted uhaul twice in the link on my receipt with an email and never received a response. So I will have to waste more time and call again on Monday. It was rough unloading and getting stuff in garage so the out a dolly.

JOSE DThe 'manager' working the site was of no help. Told us to call the customer service number because she had errands to run. We also got her attention by knocking on the door and she asked us if we read her sign that said "Will be back in 30 minutes." She then said she can't speak with us because we had no masks on even though there was another sign on the same door that said, "If you are fully vaccinated, mask is NOT required." She definitely needs retraining and maybe shouldn't even hold a manager title. The only person helpful was the person I spoke to on the phone who actually helped me get the key out the box to get to the truck. The in-person "manager" in the building was absolutely useless and rude.

Rashid BI rent the 15’ truck for two day and already make a reservation online.when I been there,the staff say I only could rent it for one day and must return in the morning because someone else book it and he has only one truck in this place. Why Uhall take reservations for two in the same time?! I need to use the car immediately and have on time to get it from somewhere else. Then I returned the car at the night time followed the return guide. I need to get another truck in the morning so I must to return at night. I put the key inside the car because the online return doesn’t tell me where should I put the key, there is no drop box. I don’t want another took the car so I lock the car. Usually the car should have two key. Today morning, the staff call me said they only have one key and will call the lock company, my new bill is one the way. What a horrible experience! You force me return at the night time and doesn’t tell me where should I put the key.Every car got two key and Uhall such a big company doesn’t have spare key for their car.! And I need to pay for your mistakes !

Erik RWe tried to pick up a van or truck Sunday. No one was around to help us. We went to two different locations no one was at either location to help. I wanted to book with someone at the location on Monday. She told me she couldn’t book it for me. It’s annoying how no one could help me. The truck was fine. It had no lock on the back of the truck. So many things were wrong. But it’s Covid and so many people are moving I will say average not horrible.

Jacob PAs so much is now online- remind the customer that they input any damage into the text message. It is wonderful that there is after hours drop off, even though I did not need it. Realizing I am responsible for reading the details, it would still be nice if when the customer asks about it that they are told it is possible but there is a charge. I discussed this on the phone with a gentleman before getting the van.

WELLINGTON DIt did the job. The pick up and return process was easy. The only thing is the cleanliness of the truck. Especially with the pandemic going on, I was expecting a clean truck but when I got it the inside was really dirty and the cover sheets are all over the place. Then I have to clean when I returned it so I won’t get an extra charge. Seems unfair since I got it dirty. The experience could’ve been better if it was clean. Make sure to clean your trucks before renting out.
Ivan FHire staff that cares. When I dropped off the uhaul, no one was there. There was a sign on the entrance saying " will be back at 12:05. However, the employee did not arrive until 1:00. My husband and I called uhaul customer service line because we were concerned that we would get charged an additional day. The employee that lent us the U-Haul stated that we had to return the U-Haul at the exact time that we picked it up. We learned that we were misinformed when customer service told us that we had until 10:00 p.m. to drop off the U-Haul. Going back to the day we dropped it off, once the employee finally arrived, she was very irate with my husband. Her approach to us as customers was very unprofessional. I do not think that company would want to be represented in the aspect she portrayed. She stated to my husband that she did not have to do anything. She spoke to my husband in a loud, abrasive manner. We stated at the time she arrived she was well passed the time as stated on the employee manually inputted sign on the entrance. She stated with inappropriate mannerism that she did not have to do anything and that she was at the bank. Uhaul is a big company and I don't feel that a woman like that should be representing a franchise where customers spend good money. This woman was more concerned about taking care of her needs on company time.
Elizabeth BI first booked the uhaul 10" at the 307 87th st daly city. but the reservation was screwed up. i wasted 30 mins figuring it out and ended up at the 1001 e market st location to pick up a uhaul from there. Total 1 hour wasted just to start the move. The helper at 1001 e market was helpful and was able to rent one for me the same price. And gave me 6 hours rather then my 3 hours appointment.
