The location and employee working at the location was done. The issue was the U-Haul confirmation system( scanning license a second time to ensure release of the vehicle). everything is time sensitive, and the system wasn’t working properly, specifically, the employee couldn’t scan my license into the system, and I eventually wound up after several attempts, scanning my license into the system. I rented a vehicle to pick up a couch and I was on a time crunch. I got to the U-Haul location at approximately 11:20 or so and had to be 2 miles down the street by noon and by the time I left a U-Haul, I made it with minutes to spare,. However, the system failed even after the employee called his manager. The manager suggested that I talk to U-Haul.of note, The customer shouldn’t have to deal with an issue that’s internal with U-Haul. There should be a backup system. There is not, which elevates the anxiety around renting from your company.. Whoever’s making these decisions needs to have a backup system in place so when your internal system fails the person working at the storage rental facility can get the rental agreement processed, which includes Saturday and Sunday. Question if the storage facility employee cell phone doesn’t work, or the system is not working what is the contingency plan for processing a rental agreement?? It was frustrating and aggravating. Your processing system needs to be corrected so customers don’t feel that their time is wasted and that the vehicle that they thought would be rented may not, because you have a failed system. Overall, not pleased with the experience and I will look to other rental companies when in need of this type of vehicle.
