Give clear instructions and be proactive. Have the truck pulled out for the customer. Share what the driver will and may need. We are new to this experience.

It was perfect.
ROBERT BMy gas was not where they originally said. They charged me a $30 fuel charge and it was in the same exact place if not more than when I took it. I need my money back. I have a picture showing where the gas level was when I picked it up.

DYLAN BI originally reserved a 20ft truck to be picked up In-Person at the U-Haul Moving & Storage location in South Clarksville on Dec. 5th. I made my reservation on November 27th. The day before my scheduled pickup, Dec. 4th, I got a text message stating that there had been a change to my reservation. I later received a voicemail telling me that my pickup location had been changed. While the new pickup location wasn't that much further away, I specifically chose the first location so I could go in, speak to a U-Haul rep & purchase additional moving supplies. Instead, I showed up to the new location at my designated pickup time of 7:30am. I sat for 10 minutes waiting for the business to open. When I saw the business wasn't opening, I called U-Haul customer service to figure out what the issue was. That's when I was told that I would have to download the U-Haul app to do a "mobile pickup". This was not communicated in the voicemail I received nor in the text message that informed me about the new location. Had I continued sitting there waiting for the business to open, I would have wasted a good amount of time that could have been used meeting my moving deadline. I usually have really good experience with U-Haul but this time was very frustrating and disappointing as it caused a delay in my moving schedule. Additionally, while the new location wasn't that much farther away, it was very inconvenient to my moving location and this was not taken into consideration. Why didn't a U-Haul representative just go get the truck and move it to my original location? It defeats the purpose of reserving ahead of time and having the choice of pickup location if U-Haul is just going to change your reservation at the last minute. Given how expensive the rental was, the reservation needed go as smoothly as possible and I shouldn't need to chase U-Haul down to get details of my changed pickup.

Shaun KNo one was there, the app wouldn’t work. Had to call customer service. Got my reservation moved back slightly but then the service was so bad it wouldn’t read my location. Boyfriends phone worked and got it moving forward but it took forever and was frustrating maybe offer public WiFi?
KATHERINE DIt was fast quick and easy i needed the truck for few hours and it was very fast and easy consodering we got the reservations made within 5 minutes and less than 12 hours of picking the truck up

William DThe running lights on the right side brake light were out. The loaner still let us use the trailer. Wasn’t a big deal since we were driving during the day, however he should not have let us use “broken” equipment. The loaner was impolite and frankly a little rude. He talked down towards my stepfather as if he didn’t know how to hook up a trailer (he’s a class A CDL semi driver). Additionally when we told him we had it under control he was rude and continued to try and give us instructions that were false. Would not recommend this location at all.
Trenton AHad to park weird because the lot was full and other uhaul trucks blocking a good portion of the lot. I didn't interact with any personnel since I dropped off before they were open to avoid an additional fee.

Caleb TI dropped the uhaul off after only 23 hours of use and I get charged for another days use. There was not set time to drop off and was told if I went over 24 hours that I would get charged for another day.
Michael PFor less than 60 minutos I was charged a full rate. Pickup a dirty truck, cabin had cigarette butts everywhere. Took me more than one hour to clean and sweep before using it. Thanks for charging me extra.
Bruno AIf you are not going to be there at the pickup time, please at least leave a voicemail message to let the customer know. Also, for safety, a light check should be a standard practice before the customer drives off. That was not offered here.
Alan KThe cellular internet is very slow in the area, maybe offer a free wifi so when someone is checking in on their phone. They will be able to do so with ease. Thank you

Darrell HDid not receive a call the day before to confirm appointmented. Called myself and no answer .. then called U-haul main customer line to confirm pickup time & equipment. Completed online check-in. Arrived at the confirmed time and no one was at the location. Doors locked, lights off with a handwritten sign indicating to check-in online for 24/7 pickups. Trailer was on property but was not loaded with the reserved pads and dolly. Received a call from U-haul asking if I was going to pick-up the trailer. Confirmed that I had picked up the trailer and shared details about closed location and I had been shorted the dolly & pads. Received an email hours later that the reservation had been cancelled. I had to call uhaul main line to straighten everything out. Disappointing and frustrating experience.

WILLIAM WI went the the store In Clarksville Indiana on eastern boulevard , A very good location but really need somebody to run that store it’s sad ! I think if you drug tested everybody you wouldn’t have to many left ! Where I picked up the dolly their was nobody their so I went to hook up the dolly and then they come pulling up ! No one on sight ! It’s hard to run a Business with no one there and incompetent people !
