The staff was extremely friendly and most helpful. The only improvement I could suggest is to fortnite clients. Regardless what other people tell you most closings on properties don't take place until 4 to 5 o'clock. Therefore booking a longer period for truck rental may be necessary. Location was great, a very helpful young man got us into the truck after hours when the UHaul app completely failed to work properly. We were very lucky he came along and was so helpful. I didn't catch his name but great work! General UHaul review: the self check in simply doesn't work. What a waste of time and energy. The online booking process is also a nightmare of usability. When I call, I don't get anyone in Canada so they have no idea about the geography to help me. Also the whole concept of returning the truck with the gas at some random level is absolutely absurd. Don't give me a truck with 1/4 tank in it, it's a total scam to get me to buy you gas. You aren't fooling anyone.Sean B.

The lady I picked the trailer up didn't know how to hookup a trailer (I do ), but she said she didn't like how i did it, and very sketchily did (pictures if needed) , then dropping it off a different lady was very rude, went in the open door and she gave attitude from start , I parked the trailer in the only open spot and she got mad at me and tried making me move it , I did not as I was late and she gave attitude the whole timeNicholas G.

My thoughts are on the drop off process after hours, especially for those who choose to avoid the cost of data. The need to have access to location services to ensure that we have returned the rental to the correct location, is unnecessary. I should be able to confirm to you when I return home and gain access to the internet that I have correctly dropped off the rental, as opposed to having to incur a fee from u-haul to confirm this on my behalf.Todd W.

Supposed to be $29.95 + Km. I took the 15 foot moving van after a bunch of nonsense in the morning. Drove 18 miles and Returned it in less than 4 hours and was charged $132. $40 fuel (that is not even listed as a charge) for 18 miles. Their fuel gauge is a total scam. I rented the same Van from the other Barrie location for the same time and same mileage and was charged $62. This location on Essa is a total rip offMICHAEL M.

Messed up on my truck order spent over 3 hours waiting truck was dirty and and to spend extra money on gas to drive the truck back to location when I was told I was to drop it to one location and than had to drive an hour back to another location . Need to get more experienced workers that won't mess up orders. Very Unacceptable.Sean C.

The floor of the trailer was coated in oil or some other oil-based liquid and since it was raining caused it to be extremely slippery and actually caused more than one fall sliding down the tailgate etc. Was not a pleasant experienceTrevor W.

Reservation system was appalling! I spent over 2 hours on the phone, and never managed to complete my reservation, until I gave up and called the branch directly! The actual rental office were marvelous! Helpful friendly and efficient!! A real treat! Even after returning the rented trailer, corporate continues to send me broken links. Frankly I am surprised that you continue to stay in business!James P.

I waited over 3.5 hrs in the parking lot for my 6hr trailer rental to be available. While I was patiently waiting, I was told my rental would be discounted based on the excessive wait. I was still charged full price and I have requested a refund but I am not getting a reply.Darryl S.

I did not have a problem with the location but was frustrated with my uhaul rental in general. I booked online and was told two days before my rental that the availability had changed which added another 4 + hours of driving back and forth. Gas is very expensive and although I was given a discount for milage it still cost me $150 in gas because the uhaul didn't have enough gas to get me to the first destination plus having to drive it back the same day when I originally booked a one way drop off. On top of that the location of pick up was changed without my knowledge and I had to call Uhaul to find out what location I was suppose to pick up my rental. This was my second time booking with uhaul, thankfully my first experience was much better then this time but definitely frustrated at the lack of communication and extra time and money spent then originally booked.Christian G.

The place is pretty unorganized. We waited there for about 35 mins to get the truck, despite being expected to have it back on time or you'll be charged extra. They charged us about 4 different times, two big amounts two little amounts and two are still pending on visa so I'm assuming they wont go through, but who knows. While we were there waiting to get our truck, I get a call from Uhaul (customer service) trying to convince us to get a smaller truck and add a trailer on the back because there was another person who wanted our truck, and thought her booked the 26 foot one. All the while listening to some irate customer beside us because she had been waiting a while and it was cutting into her time she booked for the truck. They couldn't find the keys for a good while, and the one man working there seemed pretty incompetent at his job. He was all over the place. Anyways we got the truck and it all worked out, but my goodness they need a new system there because it is a mess. The lady checking us out was nice though. We kept our cool, because I mean getting upset isn't going to change anything, but it was frustrating. They need some improvement in my opinion, but at least we weren't dealing with some grumpy individual at the desk. Look at the pros!Steven B.
