Employee was indifferent and acted like I was interrupting his day. Apparently making a reservation with U haul is worthless. I reserved a 15’ truck and a dolly 3 weeks and neither was available. Apparently you get what you get and should be grateful for it. Windshield was very dirty and door stuck closed after 6 hour drive. Was able to force it open thankfully. This Havasu location is very poor.

JOHN PI am writing as a very dissatisfied customer regarding what was, without question, the worst and most inconvenient U-Haul reservation experience we have ever encountered. We reserved a 15’ truck two days in advance for a move from Lake Havasu. We drove 8 hours and paid for a hotel specifically to coordinate with this reservation. Then, just one hour before scheduled pickup, we were informed that the 15’ truck would not be arriving and that only a 10’ or 26’ truck was available. We responded immediately and said we would need to see both options to determine what would work. Within 40 minutes of that call, we were told the 26’ truck had already been taken, leaving us with no choice but the 10’ truck — which was insufficient for our needs. Unfortunately, the issues did not stop there. We were instructed to drive to the location of the 10' truck and follow the QR code and instructions to self dispatch. After following the self-dispatch instructions on the app, we were still required to call in and go through an additional verification process, taking 30 min. We were then given five separate lock box codes for six different boxes in order to locate the key. Three of the boxes were empty. One code did not work. After what felt like a wild goose chase, the final box finally contained the key and we were able to leave with our rental. Additionally, we were told that a return location would be provided to us. When we arrived at our destination and were ready to return the truck (after less than a 24 hour rental), we discovered no return location had been assigned. We again had to reach out and request this information ourselves. As a direct result of this situation: We now must take additional time off work. We will incur further expenses for another rental and hotel. We must make yet another trip back to Lake Havasu to retrieve the remainder of our belongings. While we understand that U-Haul states it cannot “guarantee” availability, providing notice only one hour prior — after customers have already traveled long distances and incurred expenses — without offering a comparable or better solution, and with limited functional customer support, is completely unacceptable. We plan to return to Lake Havasu on Thursday, the 26th. We are hopeful that U-Haul can make this right by accommodating us with an appropriate truck for that date at either a discounted or comped rate. If no trucks are available in Lake Havasu, we are willing to pick up a truck from the Norco, Corona, or Eastvale area and drive it to and from Lake Havasu, provided we are not charged for mileage or additional fees related to the trip. Please let us know as soon as possible how U-Haul intends to resolve this situation. We would strongly prefer to remain customers, but this experience has made that difficult. Michael LWhen I went to the U-Haul website, it stated there were no 10, 15 or 20 foot trucks available. A couple of hours later it said there was one 15 foot available. When I arrived at the location four hours later they had I believe two 10 foot trucks, three 15 foot trucks and at least one 20 foot truck sitting in the lot. I think the U-Haul website needs to keep better track of inventory and availability. Also, when I picked the truck up, there was just above half a tank and it was marked as 5/8 full. When I dropped it off, I filled it up to the previous limit, but then got penalized and had to pay an extra charge to bring it up to the 5/8 mark.

TRACY TUsed this U-Haul location several times now to tow my SxS. The trailers I've rented are always in good condition and the process to rent from them was quick and easy. I've found the guys in the office to be helpful and easy to work with. Will definitely use them again in the future!

Ezekiel HI’d give the rating a 5, except the heater was not working and I froze the entire trip. I let U-Haul know when I dropped it off and they are scheduling for repair so the next person doesn’t have that issue. Everything else went off without a hitch (pun intended).

JAMEY BGerold has and still is one of the best Uhaul businesses ( Wilson's ) in Lake Havasu City AZ. He is straight forward and bends the bar trying to fit the needs of the customer.
William PDropped the trailer off on Christmas so the location was closed. I got a email next day checking it in all good.
KYLE BUhaul truck was tightly parked boxed in by 3 other uhauls. It was difficult to back up the 26 ft truck.

Joseph GWe had a blowout shredded tire only 2 hours on the road. That tire was very old. The one on the other side was fine. But…. We were stranded on the side if I 40 for 5 plus hours . The tow truck came with the tire but realized it was an ancient wheel that they don’t even make . So he had to search for someone that had that wheel and had to go 132 miles back and forth to retrieve it. Meanwhile we were stuck in the dark and cold with semis flying by. Very scary and stressful. At least U-Haul is paying for a hotel. But won’t make it home until tomorrow and missing a day of work.
