Since the online information for Truck Share said I could pick up the vehicle at any time I arrived about 45 minutes early. The instructions to get the key said I had to go into the store to the counter to get the key. Unfortunately that U-Haul location is not open on Sundays and there was no external box to get the key. My scheduled pick-up time was 12 noon. Someone did arrive around 11:50 am. I did call U-Haul customer service for some help, but I was on hold waiting for an agent for a while. The agent told me to look for a box to retrieve the key and when I didn’t find one I was transferred to Truck Share. I was on hold for a while, and before I could speak to someone, a guy showed up at the U-Haul location to give me the key. The online info indicating that a vehicle can be piked up any time needs to be revised. The truck share drop off procedures are two time consuming, and I will probably use the counter in the future

Davon LRented a 15’ truck for 24 hours. The lady took my drivers license and credit card. She walked me outside and pointed at the truck in a tight back alley. No instructions or anything. It took forever just to get out of where it was parked and my wife had to guide me in the blind spots. Next thing I noticed was the gas tank was low with only 40 miles left and the lock for the trunk didn’t work. I couldn’t even load the truck the day of because I didn’t want all my belongings to get stolen. I returned the car early the next day and received a receipt via email. They charged me for a 18 gallons of gas, a gas filling fee and claimed I drove 97 miles! I calculated my miles driven and it was less than 24 miles total. My bill went from $85 to $360! This place tried scamming me! Don’t go here.

Nolan BAll I'm going to say is make sure your mileage and fuel is correct on your contract. This woman (Cheryl) put on the contract that the mileage was 2470, when it was really 2484. When i returned the truck it was at 2489. For some reason when taking the picture, only the 84 showed and not the 24 in front of it. So now I'm being charged for 20 miles when I literally drove less than 5 miles for the entire use: Uhaul to Destination 1.9 miles Destination to Home 1.4 miles Home to Uhaul 0 6 miles BUT I'M BEING CHARGED FOR 20 MILES!! Next issue: My pickup time was 9:30am... I got there a little early, Cheryl was helping another customer, when she began to help me she realized the keys weren't there. She called an employee and he had taken the keys home on accident so I had to wait for him to bring the keys back because there were no more trucks that I could use. I had scheduled a person from Taskrabbit to meet me at the Destination at 10am so I had to attempt to change the schedule with him because I had to wait for keys. The employee finalize showed up around 10am. Luckily my Destination was about 2 miles so I ended up not being too late. Still this was an inconvenience. It just seems that the first thing you would do as a business is make sure you were prepared for the next day, but I understand that everyday isn't perfect. I was also charged for furniture pads that I didn't receive, but I contacted customer service and was refunded. MAKE SURE YOU DO THE ONLINE CHECK IN YOURSELF AND SUBMIT BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE PREMISES. TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING!! I will NEVER use this particular location again because when I asked Cheryl about the online check in, she told me that I didn't have to do it because SHE HAD DONE IT ALREADY. Because I was already late, I trusted her and just said Ok and left. THAT WAS THE DUMBEST THING I COULD'VE DONE!! I'M MAD AT MYSELF BECAUSE I KNOW BETTER!!

Ruby H12 days ago, I returned a rental VAN CLEANED & FULL OF GAS. After only going 3 (THREE) miles, I was STILL CHARGED FOR 2 (TWO) GALLONS OF GASOLINE. Having taken pictures of the ODOMETER & GAS GAUGE before and after my usage, I returned to this location to show them their mistake. The person at the front desk looked at my evidence and agreed with me. She also assured me that she would fix the problem and refund the difference back to my card! It has been almost 2 (TWO) weeks and nothing has transpired. Obviously, I am going to ESCALATE this matter to CORPORATE & my CREDIT CARD ISSUER. If they treat me this way with ACTUAL PROOF, how do you think they will treat you without it. MAKE SURE YOU DOCUMENT EVERYTHING WHEN YOU RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!
Lawrence DMake sure vehicles have at least a quarter tank of gas in it when you expect customers to return it with that much. The truck was on empty when I got it.

LINDA SThe people working at this location we’re very helpful and nice. But, I had made a reservation to pick up from another location much closer to my house, and the morning of they called and said they didn’t have the truck I reserved. So I had to go out of my way, spend more money on two ubers, and put a significant more amount of miles on the truck. Ultimately, I had to spend more money because of a mistake made on U-Haul’s end, I’d like some sort of refund or discount.
