I went to load trailer and noticed one tire looked low, checked the pressure and one tire had 19lbs, and other had 22lbs, I was leaving for a 628 mile trip. Just glad I noticed it.

U-Haul app didn’t work and I was unable to pickup the truck. I was working with your field support for over an hour & if it wasn’t for the office person Myra who came in an little early I would not have gotten the truck at all ( every though it was scheduled for 8am and I left at 9:20
Frederick CI was scheduled for a 24/7 pick up. I arrived at the location at 8 AM per my contract and followed the prompts in the app to retrieve the truck, only to find that the truck I was supposed to be getting was not accessible to me out front but instead behind a locked gate. I was able to retrieve the keys out of the lock box, but not the truck itself. I contacted customer service and first spoke with a woman named Holly, who was very helpful and attempted to contact the area manager in order to get me access to the truck. Unfortunately, Holly and I got disconnected, and I got rerouted to a more general number and spoke with Maria. Maria informed me that she was not able to assist me. I needed to get me to somebody local in Maryland, when she transferred me the call was answered by Paul on the eastern shore. He informed me that I needed somebody in the Belair region to assist me and attempted to transfer me again Only to have a call rerouted back to Paul. Paul then reviewed the notes apparently made by Holly that stated the area manager was not available. He then attempted to find me another facility in the area. Unfortunately, none of them opened until 10 AM. By this time I had been at the U-Haul facility for over an hour. Fortunately, for me, an employee arrived at that location and eventually was able to retrieve a truck for me from behind the locked gate. She was very helpful. I’m not sure who’s responsibility it was to have the truck upfront for me that morning. Although each individual that I spoke with was helpful and apologetic, it was still an extremely frustrating situation.

JAMES GI reserved the van at the Stack and Store when I had all of my equipment for a Scent Trial. I was made to move at least 5 miles away. The reason, I rented it from the location where my items were to save time and gas. I am very, very unhappy about being moved from the location I had chose to reserve it from. I did reserve it 2 months ahead of time.

Odell JThis has nothing to do with the Emmorton Road location and more to do with UHaul. Price quoted when I reserved was different from the price quoted when I picked up by a significant margin. Location was changed to be a further away pickup, which added miles to my drive and dollars to my tab. UHaul app timed out multiple times at pickup which delayed my leave by about 30 minutes. There was no lock box at the location I returned the UHaul at. I’ve rented from UHaul plenty of times and this was the first time I was left feeling annoyed by the entire process.

JOSEPH MCheck engine light stayed on the entire trip. The representative at the counter did not show good customer service. He was rude. I moti9nes for him to please come out to the lot and he said no and made me come into the store. I did not know the key had a coordponding number to the truck and I asked him what truck was mine and he said the one in the lot. There were 3 trucks. He should have explained it to me and physically showed me. But he handed me my keys and went back in the building. I will never do business here again. He should be ashamed of how he treated me and my sister. Plus it was too expensive and way more money than I anticipated.

David RMy problem is not with the location, but with UHaul themselves. Apparently, leaving a negative review is the only way to elicit a response. I literally moved within the same apartment community diagonal across the parking lot. I had to drive back and forth a total of 12 miles to pickup the truck because they wouldn't let me pick it up where I requested. Of course I had to pay for mileage for the extra miles I had to drive because they wouldn't let me pick it up where I needed to. Then I got charged for 2 rental periods because I underestimated that I would need it for 6 hours. They charged me double the rental period and double the safe move. I had it less than 12 hours and I paid $123. If I would have just dropped it off and not used the mobile app to check it back in I would not have had to pay double. If I would have just rented it for 24 hours and gotten it at the pickup location I wanted I would have paid less than $60. My advise IF you have to use UHAUL 1) Always rent for 24 hours even if you need it for 6 hours 2) Do not use mobile check-in. Take pictures to prove the mileage and condition you dropped it off in. I actually called the location and they said they would not have charged me double like that. I only got charged because I used the mobile app like a responsible person. They agreed that if it would have been a 24 hour rental that I would have only paid for the one rental charge. I called UHAUL corporate. I was told the manager on duty had to agree to refund me for the second rental period. I (think) they said his name was Matt. They had me leave a message. Of course I was ignored, hence why I'm leaving this review. I hope the corporate greed was worth the review.

LAURETTE BI reserved a van for a one-way move from Maryland to New York. When I picked up the van, the front passenger-side tire was noticeably low on air and there was a message on the display indicating low tire pressure. The woman who handed me the keys told me I needed to go to a gas station to add air to the tire. I went to the gas station and looked in the door jam for information on what PSI to fill the tire to and I could not find one. I checked one of the other tires using the gauge on the air pump, but the gauge was difficult to read. I think it read 70 PSI. Then I went to the front-passenger tire and it was at about 30PSI (again, not sure if that was an accurate reading). I added air for the full three minutes and it only went up to about 40PSI. I drove back to the U-Haul rental center and described the situation. They said the only thing they could do would be to "call someone at U-Haul, but that person would not arrive that day". They also said that most likely the indicator on the dash board was faulty. I would incur financial penalties if I did not arrive in New York that day, so I set off on my journey. I stopped at a Delaware rest stop and again tried to add air. This pump had a digital readout of the air pressure and when I started pumping air it was at 38 and then after a few seconds it went down to 37, and then after a minute, it went down to 36, so I stopped pumping. I wondered if perhaps this van required a higher PSI than a gas station air pump is able to add, so I called the phone number printed on the rental paper, but the only number listed was a number to file a claim and because it was a weekend, my only option was to leave a message. I continued my journey, but each time I went over a bridge, I thought if the tire blew out, I would most likely careen off the road to my death. Fortunately, I arrived safely at my destination.

CAROL OThe truck was a rat trap. Door was misaligned and would not shut right. Something was wrong with the steering/control arm/axel. There was so much wobble in the front end I could not believe it. Truck struggled to switch gears, and we were not even hauling a heavy load. I have rented many U Hauls in the past. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Website didn't work correctly, AM retrieval was very difficult, the reservation people were unable to communicate simple things. I actually had to go to a physical site to correct my reservation. Not happy at all. This was so bad I actually want a refund! Other people were with me in this move, and they too saw how bad this was. You product and service spoke loudly for itself. The only good part was the storage place manager helped me to straighten things out with UHaul.
