How U-Haul Reviews WorkI have rented a $19.99 truck for one load pick up and drop off and brought the truck back the same day. Why did it cost me up to $112.00 for a $19.99 truck. And I put back over the gas I used
STACY KThe people were good, but your policies were terrible regarding how to deal with a fully loaded truck that breaks down. I picked it up at 8:30am and it broke down by 11:00am. I was lucky to get off the highway, but after the first mechanic told me nothing was wrong, 5 miles later the engine light comes on and the transmission breaks down. I was finally driven to an alternate site to unload the towed broken-down truck into a 2nd truck at 6:30pm 30 miles in the opposite direction. I had to alter my trip and got back home at 9:00pm, only to get up early the next day to drive the 2nd truck to Nashville (my original destination) the next morning. It would have been nice for a 2nd truck to have been sent to the site of the broken-down truck so I could reload and go on my way. Your process creates a very poor customer experience.
