How U-Haul Reviews WorkI still have 2 charges to my credit card - one for the deposit and one for the final billing. This is 5 days later that I still have the deposit showing for a 2 hour 15 foot van rental that was 19 miles round trip. Can't get a much simpler transaction!!! Also, I was charged for fuel after I replaced the 2 gallons I used. I only traveled 19 miles round trip. Per the U-Haul website, this van averages 10 miles per gallon so 19 miles would take 2 gallons. The agent where I rented the van was no help in trying to solve my issue and also could NOT locate my account when I called back asking for assistance with my issues.
ROGER MThe trailer that they did attach for me. They forgot to push down the red brake and I did not understand that that had to be down and by the time I got back to my house that was about 3 or 4 miles away. The tires were smoking and I didn't know why until my husband told me we needed to put the red brake down on the trailer. We tried to do that and could not. We had to have a mechanic come help us spray it with different loops and took three people many hours to get that thing to go down before we could go on our trip. Which delayed us another day because of that.
Kimberly LReturning the truck to the lot was a concern. There was no place to park easily. There were a couple narrow slots between other trucks but I did not feel comfortable getting a 20’ truck maneuvered safely.
