How U-Haul Reviews WorkDuring our move from Regina to Edmonton, the U-Haul truck developed an engine oil issue while we were travelling. The oil warning light came on, and after stopping in Saskatoon, we checked the dipstick and found no oil showing. We had to stop our journey and request roadside assistance because we did not feel it was safe to continue driving. This caused significant delays, stress, and inconvenience during an already time-sensitive move. We rented the truck expecting it to be properly maintained and roadworthy for a long-distance trip. I would appreciate U-Haul reviewing this incident and considering appropriate compensation for the disruption.
zakiyyah nUhaul: (not the affiliate where we dropped the unit) This message is for YOU: Look to see a persons rental history, UHaul. If you made them drive 40 minutes one way to pick up a unit last time, maybe don’t do it the next time they rent again. Uhaul you need to up your game in this regard. I hate that you don’t ask if the inconvenience can be made. You hold your customers hostage with their booking. Why was MY reservation (made 2 months earlier) not respected and I was made to scramble meanwhile someone who reserved an hour earlier got the unit they wanted at the location they requested? And I was told to drive 40 min one way and shift the time by 4 hours (when there was no guarantee the unit would even be back by then when the return was already 4 days late?!?!) this is crazy making!!! But you do have great affiliates. Like The dudes in Moose Jaw and the Manager at the Lorette Gas Station who did everything they could to make things right & easy.

Yvonne RI had booked the unit to be picked up at an alternate location and morning of received an email stating the location had changed to 58 Caribou St W. The office on Caribou was actually closed on a Saturday (the reason I made the reservation for pick up elsewhere)so we had to call again then wait for a Manager to open and get things set up for us. Not impressed to have to wait around and make multiple calls to sort this out. Delayed the start time of our move.
