The backup camera/mirror was missing, the gear shift was loose, and the gas gauge was in accurate. It has been ‘repaired’ in places with silicone/caulk. It drove terribly. This isn’t the first U-Haul I’ve driven, so I know they’re not always that bad.

Make sure brake lights work. After driving a block, I realized lights didn’t work. Turned around and see that the wires were damaged by previous renter or something. Luckily they had a spare. Quick fix.
