Worst pick-up experience thus far from U-Haul. 1) I was called the night before and informed my preferred location did not have the trailer I requested so I was shifted to Goodfellows Towing. More on the validity of this statement later 2) Goodfellows front desk associate was ambivalent to my appt/reservation. She pointed to the trailer, asked if I knew how to connect the trailer and at my baffled response stated customers connect their own trailers. Although I know how to connect it, I cannot lift a 6’x12’ trailer on my own. She did call for someone to assist; he was very helpful and friendly. 3) The trailer did not have the reserved 24 blankets; I didn’t check before I left Goodfellows (my error). I stopped by my preferred rental location (A to Z) and explained how my rental had been shifted and I did not receive any blankets. A to Z graciously loaned me 5 blankets they had to spare. Thank you Jeff at A to Z!! 4) U Haul of Lawrence KS is ALWAYS amazing. Efficient, friendly & professional. Tyler assisted during this rental turn-in; thank you Tyler! 5) U Haul LIED to me: A to Z *DID* have the trailer size I requested. Time & gas were wasted to collect the trailer from an unnecessary location that I would not recommend, reserved items were not inside the trailer and I had to make an extra stop to collect 1/4 of the blankets I reserved. 6) Lesson learned: coordinate rentals directly with the preferred company. This minimizes the ability of U Haul to shift reservations at their convenience.

Driveway was blocked so I could not pull all the way in. Staff were less than helpful. A U-Haul general manager showed up while I was trying to figure out what to do and moved a U-Haul truck so I could unhook the trailer out of the way. Then I was forced to back a long box truck out of their driveway in to a busy 4 lane road basically blind Staff did NOTHING to help me unload or pull out of their blocked up driveway I will never return to this location Ever
Clinton ADid not open on time or know the combination to lock on truck. Took several tries and calls to get right combination for the lock after someone finally showed up. Then got several texts and calls from UHaul about a second reservation for the same place in error and calling to ask if actually got my truck. Luckily we got everything done early in spite of setbacks.
