I was provided a $20 credit to change my pickup location to this location. I can see why U-Haul was offering that and I will not make that mistake again. The truck was packed in the back very close to trees and rubble piles which made it impossible to take the check-in photos. I had to pull the vehicle out to finish this. This was fine and only a minor annoyance. The truck was clean and seemed well-kept. I had no issues with the truck itself during my local move. What became the real problem was returning the truck. When I returned, I tried checking out with them. They simply took the key and told me I could go, prior to them looking at the vehicle or closing out any sort of paperwork. I mentioned to one of the guys working there, I'll call him A, that I had the $20 credit which needed to be applied during the return process. He advised I needed to speak to another person, who I will call B. B was in the truck I was returning taking some of the pictures of the dash info. When I tried to talk to him, he closed the truck door. A and B spent the next 5-10 minutes moving trucks around in the parking lot. Once B finished and approached me, I told him I needed to provide the certificate number for the $20 off. He was quite dismissive and told me they don't handle that and I need to call U-Haul directly. I had to repeatedly explain to him that U-Haul was the one who said it needed to be done during the checkout process. Turns out B didn't want to deal with it because he had never had one of those before. He did end up calling his boss who helped walk him through the process. During that process, he tried to log a lower gas fill amount than I had in the truck. I pointed this out to him, and after arguing a bit, he did put the correct fuel level. He continued to tell me that I was wrong and that he has the picture. I drove the truck ~55 miles, filled up over 7 gallons less than 1/4 mile form the return location, and provided my receipt to him. He continued to argue that he was right and I suggested we both go out and look at it together. He let it go and continued on with the process. Later, he did acknowledge that I was correct about the fuel level - unsure if he was looking at the wrong photo in his phone or what. Took me over 30 minutes to complete the return process and the rudeness was completely uncalled for. Was not worth the $20 discount for the experience I had. I would have been much happier picking up from my original choice.

I would have been nice to get the truck with a full tank of gas instead of less than 1/4 tank.

Angel AMake sure the system in place and functioning efficiently before actively influencing current customers to try it out. Being lied to and offered a 10 dollar discount to go 14 miles out of the way, is ridiculous and predatory sales tactics.
Jason DGreat customer service. A great experience overall and would definitely recommend U-Haul and the location where I picked up. Although the location I picked up is very limited with what they have, but it was sufficient for me and it worked.
