I arrived during their business hours and no one was present to accept my return. I was forced to install an app on a smartphone upon arrival, as indicated by a sign on their locked door. I was not notified in advance that this would be necessary. Not everyone uses a smartphone! This was a MASSIVE inconvenience. Secretly requiring a smartphone at the last minute is disgusting and I will not be using uhaul again because of this terrible experience. I would have never selected this return location if it was made clear that a smartphone would be required for the return process. I've made it to 2026 without needing a smartphone a single time in my life until this incident. I will never forget this day. When I picked up the trailer at a different location, there was staff there to help me and it was a good experience. This location is garbage with non-existent customer service.
