Staff could have let people know that uses certain locks for the storage units instead of just putting a lock on it afterwards

We have used this facility for all our U-haul needs in Bradenton. This experience as always is the best, thanks to Lauren & her staff! GARY J | Overall ExperienceI had to pay for this storage because I didn’t have the time to get there to move my things. I was never able to access the unit because of 1 misunderstanding which resulted in them acting like the police of my belongings. The staff was so rude from that point on, they labeled me. When I finally was able to get my belongings they made sure to not give me a minute past office hours, not storage hours but office hours on Friday, so while I was loading the truck downstairs they went upstairs and did whatever they wanted to my things and shut the storage and put the lock on it. When they came back downstairs they refused me access and said I needed to leave now. I did not and they stayed untill 8:40pm waiting to see if I left. I could’ve been moving my stuff still and they could’ve stayed and watched me do that but they didn’t. Only made my experience with them worse. I had to keep the truck longer and racked up my mileage on the truck. I returned Saturday after I got off work. They had a trailer parked in front of the storage so I couldnt just back the truck up there when I got there. They took their time moving it; which was wasting my time. When I finally got to park the truck it was a little after 6pm and Brittney asked if I could be out by 7 I said yes. Not sure why but she was surprised I moved as fast as I could to make sure I could be done by 7pm but the front desk lady walked all the way over to storage side just to lock the sliding doors at 6:30 pm when there’s a sign on the door saying the doors are closed from 7-10pm clearly just to make it harder for me to move my things in time before they locked me out from my things again. I was by myself moving now only half of a two bedroom apartment in an hour since I had just got off work and had to rush there. I was able to have the unit cleaned out by 6:55pm. My experience was beyond disappointing because I use uhaul for a lot of things but this location will never get my business again. I’ll be sure to share my experience with others as well and let them know Midgard storage is way better.
