I was not able to move into the storage unit and there was no update about the access to the unit. I’m aware now that there was a fire at this location but it would’ve been nice to be made aware that we would not be able to use the storage unit so we could make new accommodations before driving a 26’ moving truck to this location with no information besides this “storage closed” sign on the door. We received the move in information for the storage unit AFTER the fire at the facility so we are unsure of why they are still allowing people to “move-in”. We were also advised that the amount of the storage unit would be free with a truck rental as there was an advertisement that was verified by a sales representative but the fee from this location for a month of storage was withdrawn from our bank account. When trying to “move-out” of this location to be done with this mess it makes us take photos of the unit and says that we need to clear out the unit but again, there is no access to the unit currently and there is no information on when we will be able to access it. When trying to contact UHaul about the situation there were long hold times and no updates with this location happened and we had to reserve a storage facility at another location last minute. The sales rep when we made the reservations was fantastic and kind to us but the rest of the experience was and is currently causing a lot of headaches.
