I have rented my storage unit for 16+ years. Apparently, here was a female living in unit 773. She is homeless and according to her, she has been here longer than me and has a right to live in her unit, smoke, sleep while her van now covers the entryway to protect her. I have tolerated her hoarding mess all over the entryway every time I’ve been to my unit. She is rude and harassed me all these years because I have told her she cannot live there or block the entryway with her crap. This has been going on for many years, even the staff that lived at the facility did nothing to help a situation. Rather suspend me from entry to my unit after hours to allow the homeless hoarding woman (YADA) to stay in her unit(s). There were times she was smoking inside the unit and smoke came out from inside. She was also found a sleep inside her unit with all her filthycrap covering the entryway.I have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for her to move the entire entryway full of her junk. Every time I needed to access my storage unit. It was stressful, annoying, and sickening that I’ve had to deal with this for 16+ years. There were also other tenant living there, plugging in computers, etc. unfortunately they get offended and become verbally nastyif they are asked to move. Waiting to enter my home not caused me to be late for appointments and other events. This UHAUL location in Placentia CA, has allowed this to go on the entire 16 years. With fear of retaliation, I did not complain on social media or report to the authorities which now I will be exposing the truth. They have violated laws by allowing people to live there, and how to always worry if she would cause a fire from smoking & sleeping, breaking in my unit or cockroaches from all the filthy junk from hoarding. Customers currently paying rent at this location have a right to know how management has handled this problem for the last 16 years and the emotional damage it does to someone who’s paid rent on time every month for all these years and having to tolerate management’s inability to obey CA laws and secure the facility for storage only, not housing units.

I am in a different state which I made you guys aware of got stuck in Washington because of sever health conditions and in and out of the hospital. I suffered a stroke and require a lot of assistance now. So the Gm texting me on a Thursday night was cruel he apologized for the miscommunication because no one told me this when I made a payment the week prior. So this was handled very poorly. I did not receive emails or voicemails or even texts about this. I could’ve arranged things had it been made clear to me before.

I was able to speak on the phone with someone and the online move in process was easy to navigate. The facilities were clean, I was given a free lock and now I have safe accommodations for my stored goods.
