Unit was not cleaned. Used rodent and ant traps in the unit when we got it. Thankfully only needed it for three weeks and not long term. Cancelling the unit was a challenge. Called the place we rented it from and someone picked up the phone and laid it down then nothing for 10 minutes. Finally taken care of via text from someone in corporate.
DONALD S | Overall ExperienceUnit was inside and there was not much light and was actually dark. The unit itself had two light weight rodent shells not the entire trap and about 5 ant traps on the floor inside. It had not been swept out. Got this as a “free unit” for renting a truck one way. Don’t know if that’s why it was not clean and dark or if that’s the norm??

Debra M | First ImpressionsThe staff was friendly and the office I turned our uhaul rental was nice, however the building that our storage unit was in is another story. The inside of the building was well lit but the parking/unloading area was questionable. We DID NOT feel safe due to no security fence around the building and the loitering individuals in the parking lot being approached by strangers trying to relieve us of our property while we are putting in storage and when we removed our items from storage. The on site bathrooms were out of order everythime we went to our unit. The reason we removed our items from the storage unit is because of the questionable security precautions uhaul is taking to keep their customers safe. Not to mention the main door leading into the storage unit building IS NOT LOCKED. The lack of security for the cost of the unit didn't make it seem worth continuing to use it.
Krista G | Overall ExperienceMy whole experience with uhau has been horrible...from being charged the wrong price to having to pay for another day not being my fault. I have came out of pocket allmost $500 just to move from Nashville and this has never happened before. The FREE storage was nasty and I saw several roaches in the facility but I had no choice. I probably wont be using uhau again unless something is done about my refunded money thats owed to me.
marilyn r | First ImpressionsWas told there was an elevator… there was not., my original swipe card did not work and had to drive back to the office for another access card. The original locker I was given had a lock on it. Couldn’t get the Jackson office so I just took another unit. I didn’t get any type of compensation for my inconvenience.
