I had transferred to this location because I was wanting a storage locker because I don't have a vehicle, so I didn't know when I would be able to get to my U-Box. When I got to the facility I tried to rent a truck just to move my stuff from the box to the locker. I have recently moved from Illinois to Arizona (the reason I needed the boxes) and switched over my license. I only had the paper copy of my Arizona license. They wouldn't let me rent a truck to literally move my stuff across the street. It is a very busy street, and the walk was minimal, but very difficult for me because of multiple health issues. I managed to move 5 things out of my almost 100 boxes because I had to walk them over. I had previously rented a cargo van from the location where the box originally was (I-17 and McDowell Rd.) before I switched my license over. I asked if I went to that location, because they had my Illinois drivers license on for, if I'd be able to rent something. They told me the license isn't kept on file. I tried everything in my power to figure out something that literally wouldn't kill me with the amount of boxes I have that needed to be switched over, but no solution was reached. I will never store with UHaul ever again once I can figure out a way to move my belongings.

I recommend removing the very abrupt speed bumps at the drive-in entrance area. Even driving as slowly as possible, with a truck loaded with anything not completely lashed down they caused it to shudder and the contents to shift needlessly. Otherwise it was a good experience and I recommend this site for reliable storage.

When I went to remove my items from the storage, I had rat feces and pee all over my items which destroyed everything I had in the unit. It had a real bad smell. When telling customer service in the office, Wood, I discovered regarding my unit. They had me sign a waiver saying I no longer want my property and I would no longer have to pay for that month.

I was in the store location and let them know I was moving out of the unit that day thought it was handled, then I decided to follow up online w-customer service who didn't show I moved out. Once again I explained in detail, thought it was handled, then I just received the late notice bill, I called and spoke to someone & explained again. It may have been handled now. It's been a customer service nightmare for me. So much was good about my move w-U-Haul until it went awry.
