-secure & well lit- lighting was fine. But because the bay doors would simply open with a simple motion, or just randomly on their own, lost any sense of security. And once inside the bays, anyone could walk thru the automatic doors because the personal codes were only to track when the renters accessed their units. Many many times the alarm would sound upon opening my unit even after I entered my code upon my arrival. -my business requires work at any hour so having non 24 hr access was a fail. -staff were not helpful. As I stated in my move-out, I requested several times from several staff (they changed frequently) that I needed a bolt put into the main handle on my unit door that never existed from the initial build/install… Never happened. Many times the automatic doors would get knocked off track by a careless renter and instead of putting notice on the exterior overhead bay doors, and disabling those doors, the bay doors would open upon pulling up, I would take my time backing my truck and trailer into the bay, get parked, allow the door to close, open my trailer, enter my access code, and then barely see the not taped (or being taped) to the inside of a dark smoked glass automatic door. My unit was less than 20 feet away. I had to drive back around to the other side of the building and trek hundreds of feet thru the Mae to access my unit. -no, I would not recommend this facility. Ever since the original management team of daughter (Heather) & father left, the place went downhill. It started off as a small little rental office in the owner and I watched them grow to become something cool until they grew tired of being ignored by corporate; so they left. U-Haul is too big to truly care about the little people, it seems. The staff is poorly trained, if at all. The managers don’t seem to have the ability and/or freedom to properly take care of their customers and team. Everything feels too corporate, less client. You had a good thing started and ya lost it. Too sad, really.
