I have rented from U-Haul many times over the years and have always considered the company reliable, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I reserved a truck along with furniture pads and dollies for a furniture pickup. I specifically chose this U-Haul location because it was located near the furniture store, even though it required me to drive approximately 100 miles from my home to get there. My plan was simple: pick up the truck and the reserved equipment, load the furniture, and transport it back home. Unfortunately, the location failed to include the furniture pads and dollies that I had reserved. What makes this especially frustrating is that I did not discover the mistake until after I had already arrived at the U-Haul location and was preparing to continue with my furniture pickup. At that point, returning to resolve the issue was not a practical option. As a result, I was forced to spend additional money purchasing furniture pads and dollies from Walmart. This unexpected expense significantly increased the cost of my move and pushed me well beyond my planned budget. More importantly, the delay caused by having to locate and purchase replacement equipment disrupted my entire schedule. By the time I obtained the necessary equipment and reached the furniture store, it had already closed for the day. A trip that required careful planning, a 100-mile drive, truck rental fees, fuel costs, and coordination ended up being largely wasted because one employee failed to ensure that the reserved equipment was placed in the truck before releasing it. This was not a minor inconvenience. It caused unnecessary expenses, lost time, additional travel, and considerable frustration. One simple oversight completely derailed my plans and turned what should have been a smooth and straightforward furniture pickup into a costly and stressful experience. I hope management reviews its procedures and ensures that employees verify all reserved equipment before a customer leaves the lot. Customers rely on U-Haul to provide the equipment they reserve, and in this case that trust was unfortunately misplaced.

Connor EThe two dollies and 6 moving blankets I ordered were missing from the truck. As it was a holiday and I did the transaction online, there was no way to get them. This significantly hanged wsht we could actually move. Also, trying to register and get. to the right place using the link in thr email ans the app took a ridiculous amount of time. I had to keep returning to the email and clicking on the my account link to get to the correct place.
