After reserving online I received a phone call and was told I would have to pick it up at Streeter St which was fine. She told me I could drop it off at another location in town. I attempted to drop it off there but they told me I’d get charged for one way drop off, so I returned it to Streeter St. whoever spoke to me on the phone should have made it clear that I would be charged extra.

Nice that he could take the trailer, or we would be driving around still, trying to find someone who could take it

I was extremely disappointed when I went to go pick up the trailer that I had reserved online. Only to find out that the location that I had chosen had no such trailer in their inventory. I had to drive approximately 30 minutes out of my way to go pick up the trailer that I had reserved online. Had I been informed appropriately of the location where the reservation had been made I would have said no for it was way out of my way to pick this trailer up and to take it back. There were other suitable locations that would have been far practical. Extremely disappointed in the way this reservation is made by U-Haul.

The reservation I made 2-1/2 weeks ago for a 15' truck was to be picked up at Northgate Blvd in Sacramento (they called me with the pickup location to use one day before I am to get the truck btw). The people that run the Northgate site were nice enough - but there was NO TRUCK THERE. They said a lady had not returned it in time and was not returning their calls to her that morning. I had to drive 40 MILES one way to Lake of the Pines to get the only available 15' trunk within apparently a 50+ mile radius. I lost 2 hours of work (+$150) and had to pay for extra gas 40 miles there and 40 miles back (+$20). This how rental experience was unprofessional at best. And when I fill the tank the first time along the drive, I discover that it was NOT FULL when I picked it up (contract marked as full, but gas gauge was only at rightmost edge of grey bars and NOT on the "F" where is should have been (+$20 extra fuel) And then when I return to trunk and 1-dozen moving pads in SoCal - I get charged an extra +$10 for returning the pads to the "wrong location". Jeez, it was a one-way rental. What do I do with the pads - bring them back on the plane with me? So my one-way UHaul rental winds up costing me 150+20+20+10 (=$200) more than it should have cost me to rent that one-way truck.

John the owner of this location went out of his way to be as helpful as possible.

my reservation was at another site at 11 am and we didnt get a truck until 5 pm. It threw off our entire time frame for the move. this is not a reflection on the streeter property manager. Just uhaul availability but very distressing.

I have rented.from John before! He is always easy to work with ,very efficient, always remembers everything needed to get your equipment out of there seamlessly. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

The customer service agent that sent me 40 miles up to Auburn needs to go back to Customer Service School. She NEVER at any point apologized about all of the crap I had to go though just to get a moving van. (It took three different trips, all of them failing to get a van.)Then when I pointed out that there was no apologe she lied and said that she had apologized. She kept interrupting and talking over me without letting me fully explain what had gone on.

Worst experience ever, we dealt with 2 different uhaul locations because our first truck we rented wouldn't even start & then the second has a gas leak & when I started putting gas in it , it started to pour all over the ground from under he truck. We couldn't take the load & had to empty the truck & now we will not be out of our house on time!!! Worst experience ever

My aunt recommended streeter rd Uhaul to me when we told her of our move. They were excellent. Super quick pick up and drop off. Could not be happier with the customer service. I will be recommending to all my friends.
