Was supposed to be reimbursed due to having to rent a 10ft truck instead of bigger one due to availability. Huge inconvenience with a smaller truck, no ramp, no discount and I would never settle again after this experience

The gentleman who runs this location (Troy) was absolutely wonderful. He was kid, very friendly and unbelievably helpful. We had a few issues occur during our use of the U-Haul ( nothing to do with the rental) and he went above and beyond to help us and accommodate what we needed. A Speedway gets an A+

tia cEast coast was wonderful. Was a remote pick up but he came into the store to help me. I had an 8am pickup time. When checking out, me or my fiancé was tagged for a E alert. Talking to customer service alls they would provide me was that 91.06 was owed by a Catherine A. We did not owe that or even know a Catherine. Because I was there from out of state I was stuck and was forced to pay that charge in order to pick up the uhaul I needed to have furniture taken back to my home in Virginia. I spent an hour and a half there trying to get the uhaul. I had reserved 24 furniture pads. They were Not on the truck. Thankfully he had come into the store to help us or we would have been screwed on that too. I talked to vernon ur area manager when I got home and he was able to investigate and determined I was flagged for that charge in error and has refunded me for that debt uhaul required that was not mine. I have a very bad opinion of uhaul as a company. I wasted an hour and half of my time trying to pick up uhaul I reserved,, calling moving guys to delay their arrival, originally forced to pay a debt that wasn’t mine and pads weren’t on truck which if everything else hadn’t been a headache and the owner of speedway didn’t come into the office 3 hours early to help me, I would have been stuck. Rave reviews for speedway and Vernon Clark. They gave outstanding service to me. Uhaul as a company, not happy at all. I was held hostage over a debt that wasn’t mine and no information would be given to me due to privacy policy. It’s ok to force someone to pay a bill they know nothing about but you couldn’t tell me a last name or show me a copy of a contract with my name on it. Luckily I could afford the 91.00. Someone else might have been screwed due to your unprofessional policies. I know, uhaul does not care about me as 1 person upset.
