I called ahead to confirm availability of a pickup truck with a 6x12 trailer to transport a zero-turn mower. Upon arrival, I was first in line, but the process was slow while the employee worked through the system. During this time, another employee was loudly sharing personal issues with a customer, including inappropriate language and gestures, which made the environment uncomfortable. When the trailer was being hooked up, I noticed it did not have a ramp as required. I was then directed to another location for a 5x9 trailer. While the employee was helpful in coordinating this change, I had to restart the process and incurred additional mileage costs. The replacement trailer was not clean and contained trash and broken glass, some of which ended up in my driveway during loading. Due to these issues, I would not return to either location unless absolutely necessary.

Truck was disgusting. Smell was awful. Location was poorly maintained. Maybe speak with location owner on taking pride with maintaining the equipment and running a business.

DIANA LCustomer service was excellent. I was able to reserve a 10 ft truck for the move. I talked with a U-Haul representative and I was able to explain what I needed. Since my son picked up the truck on New Year’s Eve from 420 Old Morgantown Rd, Bowling Green, KY, he was ready to leave from his residence first thing in the morning to my location. Unfortunately, he hurt his back and was unable to drive the distance, so he drove the truck back the U-Haul office on New Year’s Day. The representative was able to deduct the 150 mile charge since the truck was driven 7 miles from the office to my son’s home and back to the U-Haul office. The representative recalculated the fee and I was well pleased to find out that the cost was reasonable. Thank you very much for being a wonderful representative and helping us out with an unforeseen situation.
