Valery GDisappointing Experience The back of the truck was clean, but the floor mats in the cabin were covered in dried mud, which wasn’t a great start. I had booked a mobile pickup through the website, expecting a quick and straightforward process. Instead, I found out upon arrival that I had to wait until 10 a.m. for the hotel reception to open before I could access the vehicle. Even more frustrating, despite having completed the entire booking and identity verification online, I was forced to repeat the whole process again with the staff member at the desk. I had also reserved moving blankets, a furniture dolly, and an appliance dolly. When I arrived, I was told they had no blankets and no furniture dolly available. While I wasn’t charged for the missing items, I had specifically planned my move around having them. The staff member at the reception was dismissive about the fact that I had booked these items in advance—he simply didn’t care. Overall, the whole experience was disappointing. If the company allows customers to book online or through the app, the process should actually work. And if items can be reserved, they should be available when the customer arrives. Otherwise, what’s the point of offering the option at all?
Franck NI originally reserved an 8x4 trailer as I only had to move two dressers and a bed frame. U Haul called a couple days before I was to pick it up and informed me that the 8x4 wasn't available now and it was replaced with a 6x12. My 2.5 liter Mazda had a difficult time towing it and my gas milage was horrible. I also had to pay more for insurance! Not good!
Tony KLocation personnel was also front desk employee of a busy hotel. Single line for both hotel & UHaul. Personnel input incorrect drop off location which had to be corrected by correct return location staff.
