Worst U-Haul Experience Ever – Completely Unacceptable I had an absolutely terrible experience at the U-Haul location at 7930 Bowness Rd NW Unit 60, Calgary (Reservation #10624484, scheduled at 11:00 AM). From start to finish, this was one of the most frustrating, unprofessional, and dishonest rental experiences I have ever had. First of all, the truck was disgustingly dirty when I received it. I am not talking about minor dust — it was filthy, neglected, and clearly not inspected or cleaned. I was forced to spend over an hour cleaning the truck myself, wasting my time and energy, which is completely unacceptable for a paid rental service. U-Haul should be ashamed to hand over vehicles in such horrible condition. Second, the customer service was a complete joke. The staff member handling my request could not stay focused for even a few minutes. During my waiting time, they repeatedly stopped helping me to go deal with their own grocery customers, leaving me standing there again and again. This happened at least five times. My time was clearly not valued at all. What should have taken a few minutes turned into a long, unnecessary wait due to pure lack of professionalism. The worst part came after returning the vehicle. Despite the fact that I only drove 16 miles, I was wrongfully overcharged for fuel. I even added $15 worth of fuel myself. I took clear photos of the fuel level and mileage at pickup, and I also took photos at drop-off, which clearly show the fuel level was higher than when I received the truck. Yet somehow, I still received an overcharge invoice for fuel. This is either gross incompetence or straight-up dishonest billing — either way, it is unacceptable. I honestly do not understand how this location operates with such poor management, careless service, dirty vehicles, inaccurate billing, and zero accountability. Customers should not have to defend themselves with photos just to avoid being scammed. This location is unreliable, unprofessional, and disrespectful to customers’ time and money. I would strongly warn everyone to avoid this U-Haul location unless you want to deal with dirty trucks, wasted time, incorrect charges, and unnecessary stress. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in this U-Haul branch.

Barbara RThe trucks gas gauge did not work properly and I filled the tank up more than what was required due to this malfunctioning gauge. I was told there is nothing they can do about it. Very disappointing. Overall great service but the fuel gauge issue seems a bit unfair.
