I always check over any trailer before making a long commute which includes checking tire pressures and verifying lug nut torque. I found 2 of the 4 wheels had all of the lug nuts loose and unsafe to drive on. I torqued them to spec to prevent a wheel coming off on my trip and futures renters. These basic services should be done frequently by Uhaul to ensure safety, not the renter.

Initial delivery place listed on my contract was not occupied and all buildings were locked. Called phone number on contract and was told to take truck to second location. Second location was staffed with single individual with little apparent knowledge of why I was dropping off a U-Haul truck, even though the second location had several parked U-Haul trucks on their lot. The person taking possession of the truck did nothing to check the condition of the truck nor verify the moving dolly was in the back of the truck.
JOHN DThe first Haul place I went to on Hwy 23/74 at the Matress Godess, just outside Waynesville NC, (A Guy named Leo) was not a good experience. The he told me he would help me find a trailer and strung me along for over a day and did nothing and would not return my calls. Never called me back when he promised he would. I would never go back there to rent again. On the other hand, the dealer at Smokey Mountain Expressway (The Stop) was great. Angela Palmer there was very nice and extremely helpful. I will go back there again for any U Haul rental.
ARTHUR SThey did not have an appliance hand truck, just a one regular hand truck with flat tires. Air compressor did not work. Made me late and I had to pay workers an extra hour to wait on me. I pumped up the tires at a gas station and they were flat by end of trip. The girl was nice, but that made my move hard. I had only leased it to move one washer and dryer. I have put in a call to uhaul and I deserve some type of refund
Wanda BI didn’t get what I asked for. The gentleman from corporate said he was good at his job and he would have a trailer at that location. But guess what of course not. There was a dolly so that is what I had to get. I was very disappointed for when I called and asked to speak to some I kept getting redirected to someone else not even the location I called. I did ask for compensation but who knows if I will get that. I shouldn’t have to pay at all. You told me the trailer would be there and it wasn’t. The lady that was running that U-Haul place inside a convenient store had no clue what she was doing
