I signed up to do U-Haul ride share. The dude who weighted the trailer does not know what’s he’s doing. I told him, multiple times, there is too much weight on the trailer. I stated there is way too much weight on the tongue. The truck squats way too much and all the weight was on the front tires of the trailer. He insisted I was wrong, and I would be okay. My trip took an extra day due to travel issues. The truck was struggling to pull the trailer in PA, where I had to stop several times to allow the transmission to cool down. I had to get a hotel because of all the extra time waiting. And the trailer tires popped on the way, which added 5 hours waiting to fixed. All in all I wasted 2 days traveling when it should have been one day. I will never use load share again. While sitting at a truck stop in the middle of no where, with the trailer on the ground with popped tires, multiple truck drivers asked me why I loaded so much weight on the trailer like this. Everyone, including U-Haul repair specialists and workers at the end location all agreed this was a terrible job, and should have never have happened. The trailer tongue even bent from being over weighted. I have use U-Haul millions of times while in the service, but this will be my last due to how terrible this experience was and all the extra money I had to upfront for loss of time traveling and work. The load share was picked up in MD, not this Chesapeake location. Chesapeake is great.
