Improve the U-Haul app. It is difficult to use. It requires scanning documents. The scanner did not work. The alternate is to take a picture of your license. The app incorrectly listed my license expiration date and my home address. There is supposed to be a function that allows you to correct a date but you can only change the month and the year. There is no way to change an incorrect day. The app asks that you correct your address but then does not use the corrected information. The app asks you to provide two points of contact, who they will call and try to verify who you are, before approving the application. U-Haul did not provide a heads-up that they would ask for this and so none of the contacts I provided answered their phone. In fact, two of them asked me why U-Haul was calling them and said they did not answer because it seemed to be a scam. I had to contact a U-Haul representative to help with the app because it was not working properly. In the end the representative had to provide the code for the key box because the app did not give it to me. All of this took a little over 30 minutes to do and the app failed to work properly. Without being able to talk to a U-Haul representative, I would not have been able to rent the truck.
