The service was not that great. The gas was on Empty, I was not shown where the Dropbox key was or where to return key. My return was not checked in till late Monday morning when i returned it the same day i got it on a Saturday. I will not return to this location sadly to say do to customer service at this location

Two bad uhauls back to back.
ALLI CThis was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with U-Haul. I reserved a truck a week in advance and had ordered moving blankets as well. When I arrived to get the truck it was buried in snow, they had NO moving blankets, and I was informed the truck had no heat (it was single digit temperatures outside). I was told if I called U-Haul they could redirect me to another dealer that would have another truck. I had time restrictions, because I was hired to move someone and was on a tight schedule. I did not have time to run around to another U-Haul to get a truck. So I figured I would deal with no heat and tough it out. Well, being that the heat didn’t work, neither did the defroster/defogger. During my trip, the windshield kept fogging up and I DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHILCE!!!!! Luckily I had a microfiber rag with me and had to continuously wipe the inside of the windshield while driving, which required me to unbuckle my seatbelt. Also, the overdrive/trailer button was nonfunctional, so I feel like I used a lot more fuel than I otherwise would have. In addition, the top of the truck was covered in snow/ice and as I was driving, sheets of ice were flying off the top of the truck into traffic. The transmission was shifting erratically while driving. These conditions made for a very long and miserable day of moving. Unsafe U-Haul trucks should be removed from service immediately. I thought reserving a truck a week ahead of time, with accessories, that it would be ready for me upon arrival for pick up. When I ordered the truck, I estimated 200 miles from my trip. After looking at the estimated charges, it stated 50 miles.This is terrible customer service. I intend on writing many reviews online explaining my experience. U-Haul needs to do better.
DAVID BThe location appeared to be closed during its normal business hours, the key drop system was unclear, and posed a potential security risk for key drop offs. The key drop envelopes were insufficiently sized to match the dropbox, and could not be secured in the box without the potential of someone reaching in and pulling it back out. The dropbox slot was also undersized for the U-Haul key ring, and it barely fit in the slot, and required considerable effort to get the keys through the slot. I would not have felt comfortable, dropping the truck off at this location if I had not spoken to a manager from the nearby location in Macungie, who assured me that the circumstances were OK.
PATRICK DMaybe next time offer to help with hitching the trailer (without my having to ask). I'm older and it was just too heavy for me to lift to the ball. Thanks.
