The customer service was lousy, they didn't hook up the trailer, they were rude when I informed them some lights weren't working and they had to send someone to repair it, they trailer was dirty inside and the vinyl was all torn off the outsides of the trailer and not documented. I could go on and on but, it was a horrible experience from a loyal U-Haul customer!

No improvement needed. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Put the equipment in the truck you said you would. I got an ugly call to turn in blankets i never got. Also I explained I wanted to keep the truck a few hours longer from the very beginning and was told that's $40 extra. When I turned the truck in I was told if I had mentioned that at the beginning I wouldn't have been charged extra. I did mention it to everyone I spoke to all along!

The map you have on your site for this place is wrong. It sends you to the opposite side of town. Ditch it and get a new one.

They charged us $15 for not folding the blankets back, but i didn't see anywhere in the pamphlet I was given that I had to do that and I wasn't told.

Southern Truck Outfitters does poor quality of work in general so I would not recommend them to anyone for any reason.

I've rented there twice...2 weeks apart, got the same trailer both times. The first time, the right tire only had 20lbs of pressure...it's supposed to be 65. I didn't know until it was already loaded. I called and was told "Take it somewhere and get air". I did get reimbursed $20 for my trouble. The second time...I brought a tire gauge with me...the same tire was at 45lbs...I had them fill it and tried to get a different 4x8 but none were available within a reasonable distance. If I were you...I'd fire whomever is SUPPOSED to be doing the maintenance on the trailers at this location. He's obviously NOT checking the tires! So what else isn't he doing? The ladies behind the counter aren't very friendly when there are problems. They act and give the impression it's MY fault putting them through "all this trouble".

This was the third location I had to go to before I could get a truck. I made a reservation early and was expecting it to be at the first location. Very upset when told by the second location that I would have to go to the next. Stayed on hold with uhaul for a total of about an hour and a half to two hours. I will never use uhaul again.

The tank was less than one needle-width less than a quarter tank when returned. I was called to drive 20 miles out of my way to put $5 worth of gas in it to avoid a $40 charge. Ridiculous.

There was some spilled coke in the cab. Making sure the cab is clean would be the only thing to improve on.

It took over an hour for me to get a contract because they were not competent enough on the UHaul website.I was also charged a $20 wrong destination charge on my rental, although I was not given a destination to drop it to or instruction from STO to call for a proper destination so I don't really feel like that was my fault.

I requested to pick up the truck at 5pm online, however, when I showed up at the location at 430, the reservation I had made had been canceled, and had to be recovered, which was an inconvenience, they said my reservation was for noon, which I would not have done , since I do not get off work until 4 usually. Furthermore, they did not have the furniture pads I requested and because of the late pickup and my schedule, I was unable to find the items I needed prior to my move. I also requested a utility dolly to move boxes, which was supposed to be billed to me for $10, they once again did not have the proper dolly and gave me an appliance dolly instead, which they charged me $12 for even though it wasn't what I had requested. Then when I got in the truck, the check engine light was already illuminated, and I brought this to the rental agents attention, where she assured me it was no issue and they knew about the problem. Luckily I did not have any problems on the road but it was still a concern. I have used uhaul in the past and had good experiences, however, when I move again in June, I will be looking elsewhere for my truck and transport needs.
