We put 1500+ miles on this older 17' truck rental with a HEAVY load of ancient cast-iron machinery. We drove up and over multiple California hills and it performed like a champ. Couldn't be more pleased! It's been well maintained. Iver

Customer service at this location was not customer freindly. Almost assumed that we had had an accident with a tree which we had not. She had to ask me at least twice. Customer service at this site explained procedures quickly I had to ask her a couple times to explain again. Customer service at this site was not very friendly.

the layout of the building and parking lot are confusing. Hard to tell where the entrance is, where the parking places are, paint on pavement is faded away. Entrance is not marked, inside is crowded with random stuff, unclear what it all is, the check in desk is hidden behind merch and is a bunch of different kinds of tables and chairs and merch display racks kind of jumbled up together. I did see a lot of nice merch that I thought, "oh I did not know they had this item" but also it was displayed in such a wreck it was hard to tell what some of the items were and how much they cost. there's no clear place to wait in line or sit while waiting and the counter is unsecured so anyone could wander back and mess with the computers and phones or even enter the staff area. On the phone one day prior to rental we were told that we did not have to reserve a truck, that there would be plenty of trucks, but the very next day when we went in to rent we were told that's not true, they were all out of that truck. We were told by staff person that's what the call center people "always say" and they can't stop them from saying it, and we should have reserved the truck we wanted. The UHaul staff people said they have told the call center people not to say that but "we can't stop them from saying whatever they like, and they are not even here, don't work here, just a call center." Seems to me if you pay on contract for the call center you should be able to control what they tell people about our business or give that contract to someone else. The U Haul staff however were quick efficient and knowledgeable. Waiting in line however it would have been nice to have seating even for a short wait. There were about six people waiting. We could also hear everything the other customers said so not very confidential or private. altogether looked very unprofessional, looked cheap, unsafe, a hot mess.

The 15 foot truck handled very well. The service at the location was good. Overall very good. Just make sure that employees continue treating customers with good service. Will use them again!

You can give the customer a phone number that they can use to talk to someone actually at the place you rented from. Horrible phone and customer service!

“Banned” me from renting a trailer, not during the process bc you were happy to take my money, it was in person while I was picking up the rental. I didn’t owe any money, I was “banned” b/c I returned a trailer late, I was in communication with the manager daily and prepaid late fees, absolutely ridiculous. The people behind the counter were no help, customer service lady was confused but eventually got it straightened out.

Requirement of two phone numbers for a rental was unexpected and unnecessary. I only have one number (mobile) and therefore had to involve a relative. Sales associate was adamant and this made me uncomfortable. Please consider the 2nd number as optional in the future.

The staff was great, friendly and helpful. The truck however looked fine. Started up in the parking lot great, but when I got it on the road the brakes sounded like steel scratching on a metal surface. The cab had no heating at all, the radio speakers were blown and sounded horrible. Then while I was packing at night, the cargo lights would not stay on, the cab lights would not stay on and in order to get them back I had to turn on the gas hog for at least 10 minutes before the electric would start working again. Then when I started driving it the head lights were so dull I thought it was the flash lights hung from the bumper, not to mention they were pointed so far to the right that they were useless going forward, then the high beams were so dull on coming traffic didn't even think that I was still running high beams, but that could be because those were also pointed so far to the fog line that they were essentially useless, but pointed far enough forward that I could use them. Also every bump I went over shut off the electric in the cab, and dimmed the head lights, while creating an interesting light show in the cab, it was kind of annoying. Also the door seel is not there so there is a wind whistle right next to the drivers ear. The most horrible experience was 40 degrees outside and because of the lack of heat I had to run the AC inside the cab to clear the window fog, so I froze for over 45 miles. Essentially, great service, horrible truck. However I will say that the other smaller trucks I have used were in better conditions, so this one is a fluke, but I wish it never happened.

I think that when someone is traveling long distance there should be accomodation for mileage. UHaul used to allow certain amount of miles & how long to keep truck depending on distance. Eg a small truck 10ft to Washington from California is $1000 or more. That is outrageous for people who have moderate income makes it almost impossible to move. Other than that service is great

When I called to ask if I could do an after hr drop off-I was not informed I had to email a notification it was being dropped off, other than to just put key through drop-slot in door. I do have some concerns about my rental/fees charged. Iwould like a call to discuss further.

The Ford F650 chassis’s for the 26’ truck is outstanding. It handles well nice interior and plenty of power. Best uhaul truck I’ve ever rented ( out of the 60 plus times I’ve rent a uhaul). I love the new Ford F 650 will definitely rent it again even if it’s for something small.

We returned the vehicle 40 minutes late due to heavy road construction on Highway 299. We were charge for a full day. We have purchased all of our packing supplies there. We waited at least 10 of those minutes for them to check us in.
