I usually rent from the Altamesa Blvd U-Haul location but I got transferred to this location last minute due to not having the trailer needed. I have never been questioned about my ID before and especially in this manner! At first I thought it was a joke and I even asked property manager was he serious, he then replied yes it's because he has had trailers stolen. I would understand if I were a new customer to Uhaul itself but I wasn't! At a different local location I've rented a trailer 3 time within last 2 months, along with a across country trip that had all my information stored in his system as we both assured that the contact information was correct! He asked for another ID, I replied are you serious, he furthered along interrogated me about my Military status to dictate whether or not who I am due to me having Veteran on my DL. He then offered a military discount which was good but the thing is was it out of guilt that he has offered it for his discrimination against me due to me being a Black American or was it him actually giving a discount! I would never again rent from this location! Zero stars for me if I can...Jason H.
We would have preferred the option of changing the drop off location. We could not change on the uhaul.com because it kept prompting us to the digital drop off page. No one could help us via phone after 40 minute wait time. Local drop offs were all closed 7pm. Ended up driving an extra 3 hours out of our way. We should have used a different drop off location. Showed up too the location at 10am to pick up my truck and was forced to wait in line for 40 minutes while one person served 10+ guests. I reserved online and assumed the pickup process would be easy. To make it even worse, I still had to return the truck at 2 for my four hours of use! My reservation was at 8:30am. No one even tried to help me until about 9am. The guy that I was inline for refused to help me stating that the othe worker could do it faster even though she was busy helping someone else. Then before I received the truck they told me it only had a 1/4 tank of gas. So now I'm running behind because of the poor, poor, poor customer service, now I have to go put gas.Josh C.
