This location does not have dollies for you to rent. No furniture dolly's or appliance dolly's making it VERY hard to move things if you are moving upstairs or something in the basement. When I did the reservation, none of this was even mentioned. Then I needed to tow my vehicle across states and of course, this location told me the very last possible moment they don't have any of those either, so I had a split contract, get the truck from this location and the tow dolly from another location. Too much in an already stressful time. Inside the cab part as disgusting and smelly from previous user, we had to drive with the windows down all the way to Carolina in order to breathe. I never had an issue with this placee BUT this time I did, and it was thee absolute worse.
LETHA JI reserved my U-haul truck using the app. When I went to pick it up the app said to go inside and pick up the keys and that it would be quick. I had people from out of town helping me move. When I went inside, I couldn’t see anyone and nobody greeted me. I wasn’t sure where to go so I walked around where a man was sitting in an office speaking to someone. He told me he would be with me in a minute. I sat down and waited atleast 30 minutes with no one saying anything to me. Finally a woman told me she would help me. She checked me in and I asked her if the furniture dolly and the appliance dolly that I reserved were in the back of the truck. She said she didn’t know and that she didn’t think they even had an appliance dolly. I informed her that on the app it said they did and that I had reserved it. She said that just because it says they have one on the app, that it doesn’t mean they actually have one. That would have been nice to know ahead of time as I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to move my stuff without it. Turns out there was no appliance dolly there so I decided to get an additional furniture dolly as I had people from out of town helping me move and at this point it’s my only option. She did let me use the additional furniture dolly free of charge. When I got the truck to my house and opened the back I was shocked to see that there was trash, a wet sock, and a ton of broken glass in the back. I had to clean out the entire thing before I was able to use it. I will not be going back to this business for U-Haul services again.
Brittany mWhen I went in, there was no one at the desk in the front. I heard voices in the back, but I didn’t think that it was my place to go into the back to get somebody to come and assist me. There were cameras in the front so wherever the monitors are, I’m sure it shows that there is someone in the front of the store waiting for assistance. I had to call the number on the window to see if someone answer the phone and the phone just rang. I ended up reaching someone that was not even at the facility and she rang the phone as well and no one picked up. someone eventually came and assisted me and that was great. Picked up the car or truck and the dolly was not in the U-Haul so I had to go back and get that The dolly was there no help during the move anyway which was very unfortunate to pay that in not be of use. There was also a dog hair on the ground inside of the car and there was a dog bowl left and it was really disgusting so we had to sanitize which we should do but we cleaned the inside and it was really dirty.
Kedria MMake the instructions clear on how to get the key for the truck. All it told me was “bottom compartment” and I spent 30+ minutes looking for a key box on the truck. I picked up using the app after hours and the truck was parked in a lot, some 300-400 feet away from the actual location. They also didn’t have the moving blankets I had originally paid for with my reservation.
