When I picked up the vehicle, the lady (who was very nice) told me she had to call someone I know and use them as a reference. She made the phone call infront of me and told me I couldn't contact the person or else it wouldn't be valid. I've NEVER had to do that before to rent a vehicle. She explained to me its company policy that is being enforced. I asked 5 different people today that have rented from uHaul and NO ONE has ever had to do that. It made me feel like I was being accused of being a criminal. This policy is very discriminatory,. I paid for it upfront and purchased your insurance on top of that. I would like to be contacted by a member of your corporate team.

I was told I needed one extra recommendation number of contact but to ask for third party verification seems extreme just put a track on the rentals if your company doesn't already have them installed.



Showed up at 7pm and the employee was more interested in closing than taking care of the customer. He told me I had to unhitch the trailer on my own..WHAT!! If it is still 7 putting in 5-10 min to make sure I was taken care of is not much to ask..The Google will also be reviewed with a POOR score..

Was told that I would have no problem towing a trailer with the hitch I had installed on my car for a cross country move. I Had the hitch installed and rented the trailer only for the trailer to be too low to the ground because I needed a “special adapter” for the hitch that made the entire tow hitch too low to the ground. Spent 390 on this trailer hitch then has to spend an additional 50 or so for the hitch with ball joint plus an adapter and 2 pin with locks. Such a waste of time and money all of which could have been avoided had the person I spoke with given me the right information.

The service at this location was completely unacceptable. Firstly, I was transferred to this location instead of one located off Ella, which added unnecessary mileage (and money since mileage is charged), time and effort to drive out of the way to this location. My pick up time and drop off time was also changed without my permission. I had signed in online prior to arriving the day of my arrival, claiming that this would speed up the check in process. When I arrived, I had to wait an extraordinary amount of time because the location was severely understaffed. During the process of getting the keys to the truck, this location required us to be "verified" by Uhaul calling *two* contacts before we could even receive the keys. I have NEVER had to do this with any other Uhaul location and find it completely unacceptable and unnecessary for them to require this as a "store policy". I am still uncertain why this is even needed as I have already paid and gave them my drivers license information prior online before walking into the Uhaul location. A guy in line with me had trouble getting a hold of family/friends because they would not answer a number they did not recognize and the fact that it was early Saturday morning did not help either. This is a very real situation that anyone could be involved with as a large number of people pick up their moving truck in the morning to tackle their move. I even asked if they could use me as his reference number to call, but the manager refused. I am still unsure if the guy ever got the keys to his truck rental. I will never allow anyone I know use this location as it is a complete waste of time and requires unnecessary verification that other locations do not.

I would not recommend renting from Uhaul. I have rented trucks from Uhaul several times in the past year. As a business owner, I enjoyed the ease and efficiency of renting from Uhaul. However, Uhaul has recently instituted a requirement of needing a referral from someone whom they then call at the time of rental. This is ridiculous and will lead me to start renting trucks from Budget or PV Rentals.

When I called in to rent the truck they ask how long I needed it. I told them probably 4 hours knowing the tart was 19.99 for 24 hrs. I picked it up at 9:30. And at 12 we were not close to being done so I called and let them know. They said I would be charged another day. I ask about the 19.99 rate I thought I had and they told me since I said I would have it back by 1. That I was being charged another day. So is it your policy to have your reps deceptively ask for a specific amount of time in order to be able to charge another day? Very deceptive. I will make sur and post everywhere to beware of estimating how long your job might take. Always say 24 hrs. The pickup staff were very nice. Truck missing gas cap and had not been sweep out.

Way too slow! And the young man helping to check out the equipment seemed to be poorly trained and very inexperienced. On the other hand the equipment, once I finally got it, performed well.



I am upset about an oversight on my part that may cost me double the applicable price. Attention to detail on my part, and dispense with trust in integrity of this business is lost. My network will know about the shady practice. All my frequent renter friends will know about their unethical practices. Convenience is one thing, business integrity is what commerce is dependent upon. This branch has lost it's integrity...

The customer service representative I dealt with was totally ineffective and did not appear to know what he was doing. I ended up with no copy of my rental agreement after a thoroughly frustrating rental experience. In addition the rental contract I supposedly ended up with (but did not) was in fact two contracts - neither of which was accurate compared to the particulars of my reservation. All and all totally unacceptable.

I was over charged for milage because i did not take pictures of the odometer. Manager Hanna Garcia is rude and has charged me way too much for my rental. I had truck that was 29.95 +14.00 insurance +13.3 miles and i have been charged 81.01+ 76 91. What is wrong here. And who do i need to talk to to fix this?? I will never use this location again because of the manager and the rude man that was there when i returned the truck

My wife said, "hello" to the agent at the counter and he responded to her in SPANISH. It's not professional or proper to assume someone's language/culture by simply looking at them. Also, my wife mentioned to him that we had a reservation, he looked it up and when she asked if the 10' truck was the vehicle reserved he responded, "well that's what you put". She was only asking for confirmation because once he looked up the reservation he said, "that'll be $48....." but DID NOT explain any additional information as to when they close at the location, how to return the vehicle if after closing hours (it was a Sunday afternoon) or any other additional information. He was only pleasant once I confirmed payment with original credit card used as reserved. He was not friendly and made us feel as he was doing a favor to us by assisting us. This was definitely not a pleasant experience.

I returned the truck when agreed (after hours), but was charged for an extra day. When I went to the location to ask about it, the attendant looked bored, spent several minutes on the computer attempting to locate the order before just giving me his manager's card and saying he can't issue refunds. If he didn't have the authority to do what was needed, why waste our time trying to look up the order?

I had a bad expirience, the general manager she is a witch racist, she is not a helpful person,she acts like she owns the company, she gave me hard time while i was trying to rent two dollys I wouldn't recommend to anyone else this location, I won't go back to this location, she is soo rude.

So, most frustrating was that the lock box was next to impossible to find. I literally searched for 35 minutes before I found it. It needs to be more obvious, and the associates need to be VERY CLEAR about the after-hours return process. My phone had 3% battery so I was very fortunate to be able to take the pictures and process the return, but after that I spent all that time scouring the entire property for the lock box. Additionally, the back of my truck was very dirty and I had to clean it before I could even put my stuff inside, which ate up a good portion of my 4-hour rental. I was charged for an extra rental period because my return was a few minutes after 8pm, though I didn't actually leave the property until 4:15pm. I am thankful the manager decided to reverse that. Honestly, I will avoid using U-Haul in the future because of this unnecessarily difficult and unpleasant experience.
