The truck clearly had a steering issue, as it kept drifting and required constant correction on highway. Overall it was a terrible driving experience, and I felt unsafe and had to drive at a lower speed. I did not ask for road side assistance or switch trucks because it will take us two hours to load and unload and we have to reach our destination by Sunday night, and the truck was still drivable. But it added a lot of stress on me and it is clear that U-haul failed to identify the steering problem before delivering the truck. Given the length of the trip and the unsafe and stressful driving conditions, I am requesting a partial refund or appropriate compensation.

They need to be aware that there is NO SIGNAGE indicating exactly where the key drop box was. We drove right by it because we looked for the specified address, which is actually a body shop (who was also not helpful in telling us there was even a drop box next door.) After calling U-Haul and having the person tell me I would need to visit U-Haul.com/returns to return it, it turns out that is in invalid URL. They also said that I’d need to take a picture of the dash to show mileage etc, but once I eventually got to the right page, after much frustrated tapping on my phone… that turned out to be wrong also. It never asked for such a picture. Horrible experience all the way around, except for the location near Annapolis Mall. That place has always been good to work with.
