Best Western in laplata was absolute garbage not helpful, rude , and disrespectful only after I got the u haul rep on the phone and put them on speaker did they change there tune, they made me late going home and I got caught in the winter storm all because my RESERVATION wasn't ready and they told me they don't know if there is s truck available meanwhile I was staring at 2 trucks that matched the description of the one I reserved all in all I would use u haul again just not the pick up at the best western

When I picked up the truck the vehicle smelled horrible, did not have a ramp, one head light was out, and there was less than 1/4 tank of gas. When I returned the vehicle and received my final bill an extra 15 dollar safe move fee was added that I had previously declined. I had to call and it was removed but it was dishonest and not something I should have had to clear up in the first place. The gentlemen who rented me the truck was pleasant but the vehicle and the experience after I returned the vehicle was not what I would have expected from U-Haul.

RYAN KLocation was convenient for me and close to my house. It was a little different picking up the truck at a hotel but everything went smoothly and I was in and out in no time.
Joseph LBecause this was the only open U-Haul representative available on Sunday, we appreciated the convenience. However, there should have been a trained U-Haul employee stationed there, not the hotel Concierge. The only reason we ended up in Laplata, Maryland, was that the location we were initially directed to pick up our truck was closed, and the representative at the 800 number told us we could go to the Laplata location. Why there wasn't a representative at the initial location is mysterious to me. The extended trip to pick up the vehicle caused us to use more miles than expected. I was also faced with a few road challenges getting to the destination, which increased our mileage usage. However, upon returning the vehicle, I explained this to the return center, and the manager did understand the inconvenience. Thank you for that! The truck performed excellently! It did not have the supplies we asked for, but we had the main item to help us with the move. I am still loyal to using U-Haul!
