Good Afternoon, I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent U-Haul rental experience and to request a fair adjustment. I originally booked a 10-foot truck at my local location. However, my reservation was moved to a different city. I then contacted U-Haul and clearly requested that if an upgrade was required, the upgrade cost be waived, and that the vehicle remain at the same location. Instead, my reservation was moved again to a third location, and I was provided with an oversized vehicle. Despite this being a change initiated by U-Haul, I was still charged for the larger vehicle’s base rate, higher mileage cost, and I was also forced to use more fuel due to the larger size of the truck. This is unfair, as I did not request the upgrade and had no reasonable alternative. I believe these additional charges should be adjusted or credited, as the situation was outside of my control and caused unnecessary inconvenience and cost.
