You can supply me the truck i rented at the location selected originally instead of changing pickup locations farther and farther away from my original rental location. My original rental order on July 28th was from a location 3km from my home in Nanaimo BC. I was then called and it was changed to Coombs, BC. I was not happy with this change because it meant an hour drive each way to pick up and return, mileage fees I'd have to pay just to get and return the truck, and additional fuel costs. The order was then changed back to Nanaimo at a new location. The day before my rental I was called again and told my selected vehicle was not available, and I was being moved to another location in Nanaimo farther away again. I had no choice but to accept because I was told the truck I selected would be available at the 4th location. An hour later I was called AGAIN and told that my selected truck was not available at the 4th location, and I was now being sent to Ladysmith, a half hour south of my original rental location. Again, I had no choice to accept this change because I was moving in 12 hours and was forced into a corner by the constant order changes. I AM NOT PLEASED with U-Haul, this entire experience has made me think if I will ever use U-Haul again. If anyone had ever told me that the truck I selected was not available originally, I would have at least had the opportunity and choice to look elsewhere. On top of that, every time I received an email with the changes initiated by U-Haul, the email proudly stated that my rental was GUARANTEED. Obviously not, my rental was changed 4 times!!

How U-Haul Reviews WorkHad a guaranteed pickup in Nanaimo. When I arrived they told me that they had no truck and that the truck would have to be picked up in ladysmith. This cost me additional gas, km’s, time and put me in and I was u able to make my ferry that was reserved. U-Haul did nothing for me and wasn’t even willing to give me a discount.

Christopher MLower costs, it was over $200 to rent a 24' for 24 hours. I didn't need a 24' truck, something smaller would have worked, however I wanted to rent from Junction mini storage because they are awesome to work with.
Paul PI returned the vehicle dolly back at 10:00 am. The paperwork was processed at 1:00 pm and I was charged an additional fee.
