Reserved truck on the app from Bowens in Ilion 3 days in advance. No truck when we arrived. App told us we had to call for assistance and wait time over an hour. Call back option said 15 minutes but still an hour before someone called back. Made us go to Little Falls out of our way now 2 hours later and charged for 24 extra miles. Truck was unlocked and window partway down. Steering was all over the place, hard to drive and stay in lane. reverse light out. App instructions are hard to follow and why didn't we get notification there was a problem with the reservation, NO TRUCK! At least send us a text or email. Waisted our time and money.

I booked on-line for 6/1/26, for Herkimer, Ny pick up location, because it had availability for the 15' truck. On 5/31 I was called by U-haul and told to go to Ilion,Ny for the truck pick up. When I arrived on 6/1 to pick up the truck the place was closed on Mondays. Then I was rerouted again to Little Falls, NY which was 12 miles further away. This delayed our plans and was very inconvenient.

Mark ZIncorporate suggestions on how to find a truck route. I thought I had a truck route but still received a ticket and the responding officers said ... a lot of people are sent the wrong way by GPS.
Theresa GThe problem was not with the agent involved in the rental system, but with a breakdown of communication with U-Haul. While the internet connection worked to process the paperwork this time (on a previous occasion with a truck rental it took nearly two hours to get a good connection to process the paperwork) this time the agent took the picture of the rig and back of my van and tried several times to transmit it from his cell phone. He finally told me to go on and he would call the company. Sometime later I received a msg to take another picture and transmit it to U-Haul. The company needs to address these communication failures as they are a waste of time foor both the customer and the agent, both of whom have other things to do. I am 79 years old, but am seriously considering the option of converting one of my boat trailers to avoid having to use your services at all.
