It's a frame shop with 0 uhaul signage. I walked in and the man seemed bothered since he was helping someone with a frame. He didn't check the truck and took the keys and said I was all set. I don't like this kind of return as there's no verification.

This location should stop being a UHAUL location!!! Very unprofessional!!! Person from Art & Framing just wanted to get commission from renting out a UHAUL truck and does not care about the needs of UHAUL's customers. Art & Framing did not deliver what was promised and they did not even try to assist me with my issue and just told me to call customer service and left me to deal with it myself after he took my reservation and got his commission. Aside from that the truck was in poor shape (wiper blades were bad and no windshield washer fluid).

At 1:30 I was there to pick up the truck and the Art and Frame owner asked that I " ..wait for a second.." 7 minutes later he asks for my Drivers license and Credit Card, even though I have already done the online checking, which he does not care to know about. He does not wish to be bothered and explain the purpose of each initial or signature I provide on the contract, and informs me that I should not expect any written explanation of the contract as it is there being emailed to me. Points to the direction where the Truck is supposed to be at and says check the Truck on your own and go around the back to receive the Dolly which I had also reserved. Once I am around the back of the place. I find the Dolly dropped in the fresh snow on the ground.

This was the most horrible experience I had with Uhaul - consider yourselves lucky to still have my business and hoping that my future experience on Oct. 29 goes better. I booked a truck about 1 month in advance for pickup in the town where I live, Aurora, ON. Less than 24 hours before the scheduled pick up time, I received notification that the truck would only be available at this location about 40 km from my home and at noon the next day - not 9am as I requested. I had to make several phone calls to uhaul, got put through loop that kept sending me back to main menu, and talked to four or five persons that couldn't help me before reaching someone who could. The best she could do was allow me to pick up the vehicle at this location the evening before which meant I had to drive through rush hour traffic to pick up the truck. This location is ridiculous - there isn't even a uhaul logo to be found anywhere on the store. It's an art and framing shop. When I walked in, there was nobody to be found and I had to wait for a few minutes before the employee walked out from behind a curtain hung up in the back of the storefront. Very unusual setup and a bit creepy. The woman came out and had literally almost no clue what she was doing - the rental process took way too long. She was literally asking me what she should be doing, she had no idea about the software and I felt uncomfortable even giving her my credit card because the place is so sketchy. After taking my credit card and charging me, she gave me a key and said that the truck was parked out on the street somewhere behind the mall where this "store" (and I use the word "store" loosely). She did not come out to inspect the vehicle with me and she only provided me with a copy of the vehicle inspection form which she had no idea how to complete. When I finally found the vehicle on my own, I first noticed that the fuel had been recorded incorrectly. The card she gave me said 3/4 of a tank but the truck only had half. This further angered me since I spent my time and money on gas to have my wife drive me the 40km to get the vehicle and drive back. So I went back into the store to discuss with your employee. Again I had to wait for several minutes for anyone to come out from behind the curtain at the back of the store and when she did she clearly wanted to debate the issue. I told her several times to come and look for herself at the fuel reading and she refused stating that your system indicated it was 3/4 full. Come on uhaul - do you think I'm an idiot??? In the end all she offered to do was to cross out the 3/4 on the vehicle inspection card and mark it with 1/2. I then asked why she did not provide me with a copy of the rental contract. Your employee pointed at a dusty old printer literally sitting on the floor of the "store" and said that her printer wasn't working! I further challenged and indicated that this was not my first time renting from uhaul and that the copy of the

The location was an art studio. So it was hard to find and no sign or anything indicating it is a U-haul location (only thing that gave away was a couple of U-Haul trucks in the back of the building). It took me 10 minutes circling the strip mall to figure out the location. Person messed up my order and was charged extra miles and higher fee than what I reserved online. I pointed this out to him but he still charged my card and said to "contact U-haul head office."
