KHALID EI reserved the truck for an early hour pickup. The location did not put the key in a lock box as they were supposed to. When prompted by the phone app to call in, I was told they had failed to do the lockbox key and rescheduled me for a "during hours" pickup but did not once apologize for the issue. I showed up at 9:00am but no U-Haul person was there to give me the keys. Finally after waiting 20 minutes a manager showed up and quickly processed and got me the keys. (Now almost 90 minutes after my rental was supposed to be done) The truck was dirty in the cabin and in the rear. The loading ramp was filthy and covered in something like mulch. The trucks engine light was on and the gear shift was almost impossible to get into reverse. It would slip past reverse without engaging. I have never had a rental experience as poor as this one. I will definitely never use this location again but I will also avoid Uhaul altogether for their incredibly low standards. I've rented from Peske in the recent past and it was a professional experience with quality trucks.
