It wasn’t the location, but the frustrating check-in process. It wasted a lot of time while “verifying” me by calling two numbers I have them, which is nonsense verification. I could give the phone numbers for anyone.

I will never RECOMMEND Uhaul to anyone!!!!!

I don’t see how Uhaul stays in business. I rented on a Saturday, $39.95 for 8 hours. Just because the location is closed when I turn in the vehicle, I get charged an after hours fee? For what? Mobile drop off didn’t work so I spent 45 minutes sitting in the parking lot on the phone with Uhaul trying to return the vehicle so I didn’t get charged for the whole weekend which I’m absolutely sure would have happened if I hadn’t spent time I didn’t have to do that. $1 per mile? $40 for the rental, 300% more for “fees”. You aren’t the only game in town. I’ll be taking my future business elsewhere.

John is a nice guy but very disorganized and trying to do it all himself.

The business specifically said they would be open for us to pick up, but when I called, I was met with a bad attitude saying they were closed. We had to figure out how to hook the trailer up on our own. Tiffany Canaday was awesome at the St. Louis office though. She helped us as much as she could from the office.

Your online process could be way faster. It took over 30 minutes and me calling the customer service number while waiting for approval. I wanted my truck as close to 8 as I could get it and I got my truck at 830.

Priced way too high.

Booking was a nightmare. I was forced to rent from a location 17 miles away, despite making the reservation in advance. I replied to question why my location had been changed, and received a call back and voicemail from someone who was rude, and left no phone number to call back. My move was a total of 1.6 miles from one point to another, but I was forced to pay for mileage because a truck wasn’t made available at either of the locations that were local for me. Then I was charged for extra fuel, making my rental $94 for one day of use to move myself 1.6 miles. Very disappointed.

I was overcharged for two days and then charged for a third day.

Make your app more user friendly I couldn’t pickup or drop off using the app.

When I went to pick up the equipment the mechanic was the only one there and he did not know how to check out the equipment. I didn't get a copy of my contract it was emailed to me and since I'm moving I have no way to print it off yet. Make sure the business is staffed with knowledgeable people.

Picked up truck told would pay $28 and change driving 20 miles. Dropped truck off paid $32 and change for driving 12 miles. WHY? Called customer service and was told a manager would contact me in 3 days. Do you have that many complaints? Rented from uhaul 5 times in the last 4 years and 4 of the5 times there was some kind of problem. Only reason I think your still in business is that your competition doesn't have enough locations

I did not know this location existed - convenient, efficient and very, very friendly. They will be my top choice for rentals going forward. Wonderful to have them in the neighborhood! Highly recommend.

Had to call customer service about charges that keep popping up on my card. I was told I could pick trailer up Friday evening and return sunday for 2 days charges. Everytime my phone warned about charges on my card uhaul was hitting me for additional charges

I have used John's Towing & Auto as my pick up & drop off location several times. Every time it has been a pleasurable, hassle-free experience. John's estimates are always very accurate. I highly recommend this location.

I called ahead and confirmed the place was closed on Sunday but I could drop it off, which I did. I picked it up Friday afternoon and was shocked to see I was billed for a third day. Have rented before and don't remember that happening (when dropped off and place closed).

Good job!

The facility I rented this from was top notch. However, when I rented the truck, I did not realize there was a dolly and a GIANT bag of moving blankets attached to the side. These blankets and the dolly took up valuable moving space which I needed. For one, the dolly was not secured with any type of device / seal, when I got it. Both items were taken out of the truck, and left at my house until move was complete. Then both were put back in and returned to Johns towing. I didn't request the blankets or the dolly. They were just in the way. I am requesting the $7.00 rental for the dolly be refunded to me. When I rent a truck, I expect it to be empty, unless I make a special request, for extra items. I feel like this is a pressured selling point, and I don't like it. Thank you...

Make the transaction faster. Even though I filled out information on-line before I went to pick up the trailer, it still took quite a while for the attendant to do the computer stuff to release the trailer to me.

Very helpful and friendly.I will rent from thing again.

Johns Towing was very helpful, and he did all he could do to make sure we had a truck to use, and was courteous. I contacted the U-Haul hot line the day before and spoke to one of your operators to verify that the truck would be available at the time that we needed it and was told that I would have a truck sometime that day, that orders were being filled and she was extremely rude. We didn't get the truck until 2:30 We originally contracted for a 20 ft truck and ended up with a 15 ft truck which required an additional trip. Dealing directly with U-Haul was an unpleasant.

Kevin L. on

Moving blanket rental was overpriced. I probably could have bought blankets cheaper than what I was charged to rent them. Also, I wasn't given extra miles despite the fact that this location was farther from my home and not the location I had originally requested for picking up the truck.

Fast friendly and professional. Truck was in awesome condition and drove great.
