I don't like doing business with these satellite alliance locations. The pickup was a gas station with one person working the counter who had to quickly pop out to help me. The drop-off location was a sandwich deli. I was going to be day late. Tried to call them during budiness hours only to get a message saying, "mailbox is full" over and over. Went to drop it off during published business hours, nobody there. Dropped it anyway. Couldn't call them them the next day due to no phone answer and "mailbox full" deal to confirm they received it. Had to call U-Haul main number only to get forwarded around. Was told that the drop off point wasn't open, was supposed to post that info. but didn't, that U-haul had a phone number to call the manager of the drop off point but also couldn't get through. Was forwarded to Phoenix pickup point or somewhere who "checked in the trailer". I ended up getting charged extra for being late when I should have been getting a credit for all the nonsense and stress. U-Haul has fallen a long way from years ago. Oh, I thought of upsizeing from 4x8 to 5x8 enclosed trailer which few weeks earlies would have cost an four hundred something dollar including insurance and tax. Was told they were in short supply but they could get me one for nearly 1000 dollars. Could get me one if I paid enough. Rediculous. I rent twice each year as a snowbird for cross-country trips. Really sad.

DAVID LThe attendant at Arco hooked up the trailer to our vehicle in Phoenix AZ but the trailer was too low apparently and the safety chains ended up dragging on the ground at times. This caused the chains to wear to the point where we noticed they need to be replaced. When we took the trailer in to the Kennewick Washington location to have the chains replaced they said that indeed the trailer was too low, ie the hitch insert needed to be turned around and the ball reattached to make the trailer ride higher. After that the trailer was more level and the new chains they put on worked perfectly (ie no dragging). Thank you to the U-Haul store in Kennewick for helping us get back on the road quickly and for safer towing after that.
Asiel MThe truck was filthy when I picked it up, when I got on the road I discovered one of the wheels was out of balance. I got beat up all the way between Phoenix and Prescott Valley. I just found out I can't get a refund because I had the option to replace the truck. 1. I didn't realize the wheel was out of balance until I was on the freeway and 2. The dealership didn't have a replacement 26 foot truck.
