We were in the showroom for 10 minutes before an employee was in the store. He walked in with other customers and did not acknowledge anyone waiting but proceeded to turn on obnoxious music and take another 15 minutes to help us.

The wait to check in was abnormally long, seemed understaffed. The guy that checked me in and out was really nice, friendly, and funny!

Made reservation online then drove 260 miles to find out actual price was a hundred dollars more. Lesson learned. Look around there are other companies that offer same service and don’t practice bai and switch.

All good. Nothing negative here. Good staff.

While you disclosed the 4.75 per Gallon charge. There was no verbal on the 30 fee if you started with the truck at 1/4 full. Further, I think there was an error in the mileage as I drove to 1912 Ne 61st then metro dump on St. Helens road to 6723 se Ash and back to your location. So I think you also want ought to stress to your customers to check the mileage at the beginning of their. I’m feeling bruised but not run over by uhaul

Check out was super. Check in was sub standard and the price kept changing,

The remote check that you can use on your phone when picking up a truck after hours in was slow, clunky, and ultimately it did not work, and then prevented me from picking up the truck. I had paid for people to help with the move that evening and it completely screwed everything up. I called customer service, and after being on hold for 45 min (!!) they said there was nothing that could be done. The person in the location the next morning was apologetic, but I know it was not directly his fault and he was a nice and accommodating as he could be. After the move, I looked at the bill that was sent via email, and they charged me for the insurance, which I specifically did not want or ask for, and they did not mention it when picking up or dropping off. After calling customer support again, and again a 40 min wait(!!!) I was assured a refund is in the works. Customer service is now and will always be #1. U-Haul failed. Again...the actual location on Sandy, did what they could and I don't blame them.

As always there was nothing more that I could have asked for in my rental experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating in a short notice rental and other than there being limited legroom in the truck it was a clean solid unit. I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience.

First off I'd like to start that I was satisfied with the truck rental itself as I was able to accomplish exactly what I needed to do which was to make multiple trips to get rid of stuff in my parent's house. I experienced a little bit of rudeness on my initial phone call, but it didn't bother me at first. When I got the rental their system showed it had a quarter of a tank of gas, but in reality it was less than a quarter which is unusual for a new rental. Again, not a big deal to me at first. My problem with this rental location has to do with the return of the truck. I was very meticulous about sweeping out the truck after each load which was three separate times. However I admit the cabin was dusty and I did not clean that but it didn't seem out of the ordinary. The truck wasn't that clean to begin with. I also was really trying to get the gas back to a quarter tank even though I got it at less than a quarter tank. I made two separate gas station stops and paid a total of $16 for gas to cover 17 miles of driving. No appreciation for that. The clerk said the gas was fine, but said I left the truck dirty and it was not acceptable. Even though I told him I swept it several times, he accused me of not sweeping it at all. I could understand if he told me it wasn't up to their standards and I would accept that, but he was rude and basically made me feel like I was lying. He said I could pay $25 for them to clean it or clean it myself. I said I didn't have a broom and he said they had equipment in the front. So I said I would clean it. I used a mop and mopped the cabin floor and the entire back section which in my opinion was not that dusty. If it's in their contract that's fine, but if they are so incredulous about the condition then they should state it verbally when I purchased it and not have their "valued" customers mop it themselves and make them feel guilty. I've rented a lot of U-Haul trucks from other vendors and have never had this problem. Because of this, I will NEVER go back to this location ever again. I don't need to be treated that way again.

I need someone to contact me this place charge my card , with out contacting me first

I love doing business with U-haul but I really dislike moving, such a dilemma.

Sean D. on

Talk about fees upfront. I was charged for an extra day for returning after hours (as planned) and there was an unexpected rental tax. Online check in made things fast but requires too much personal info.

Aaron C. on

I was over charged $292.88!!!! I demand that this charge be reversed now before I an additional $30 fee!

I rented a 20" truck. Put in the 1st item and realized it was not 20'. No I didn't look at the diagram close on your website to see that 20' (19.5') was including the "Moms Attic". I needed 20' (or 19.5') of floor space, not 17" plus a 3' cubby hole. Its bad enough calling that a 20' truck, but Moms Attic is stated as "extra space" right on the truck. That is false advertising or a lie or what ever else you want to call it - period. Couldn't haul everything I needed to because of it. When you rent a 20' truck from other company's you get a 20' truck. Even if you had to pay more, you get what you pay for.
