I have rented different trucks from different companies and I have also use U- Hual before, but this time was the worse thus far. I did my reservation online and talk to customer service to confirm everything and the following day after U-Hual closed I get a phone call from U-Hual saying they could not get in contact with the store to have my truck ready with everything in it, so I had to wait until U-Hual open to get my truck and then when I get ready to pick it up, they also tell me they could not give me all of the things I requested and as I got my final receipt they had charge me for insurance that I have on my previous comfirmation saying I didn't need it and once I brought it to there attention they say there is nothing they can do about it because I had used the truck already. U-Hual have to get it together.

My pick up time was at 8am, I got there at 8:30, she finished my paperwork at 9:15. I then had to wait for my truck to be cleaned and didn't leave until 10am. If I call to reserve ask about insurance then and have clean trucks at my scheduled pick up time.

I brought the truck back with the same amount of fuel and still got charged $15 for not having enough gas. This is the first time it happened to me because I dropped off after hour it doesn't mean you can write down anything to charge your customer more. Very disappointed.

My experience here with the customer service agent (manager?) was one of the worst I have ever witnessed. The man was not good at dealing with customers - he was confrontational and rude when a customer told him there had been a homeless man in the van they were going to rent. Instead of hearing the customer’s concerns and responding in a thoughtful and professional manner, he got angry and frustrated, wouldn’t even allow the second guy to talk, and sent them outside. I was embarrassed that I had to witness his initial behavior, but it then got worse. While he was working on my order, he talked on the phone to another employee about the situation with the other customer, and when that customer came back in, he began arguing with him again, in front of everyone. I spoke up in a calm tone and told him he was being confrontational and that maybe it would help if he tried being polite. He continued yelling over me at the other customer. I suggested again that he needed to be polite. He then got angry at me, and proceeded to tell everyone in line that if they didn’t like “it” they could go somewhere else. He then gave me back my drivers license, went to another computer, and called for the next customer. I was appalled at his horrible, childish behavior. But I remained calm (and shocked) and I waited while he helped the “next” customer. After several minutes his anger had diffused and when he approached me again I handed him back my drivers license and asked if he was ready to continue, and that we were there for a truck and weren’t leaving without a truck. So he continued with my order. I apologized to him for upsetting him. He thanked me and apologized for getting upset, and said he knew I was just trying to make the situation better. He wasn’t a bad person, but he did not handle the “non”-situation well at all. He should have apologized to the customer that there had been a homeless person in their van and should have made them feel heard. Instead he got immediately defensive when they asked for a refund and it escalated from there. Perhaps customer service agents aren’t trained to work with customers anymore, but this gentlemen needed some training, or a different job.

Homeless person was sleeping in back of van I rented. When I informed the staff at the location, the person behind the counter laughed at me and said he wouldn't refund the charges. Worst customer service I have experienced in awhile. Staff was angry and yelling at other customers
